As expected, Sujeong arrived first - leaving Jimin quite far behind.

Before ringing the doorbell, she took that spare minute to meditate and - impossibly - clear up her mind, just like yesterday. Based on what Seokjin had advised her with, if she wants to be in the same room with Taehyung or any other human, she needs to be very very in control of herself.

Only God knows what kind of pain she had gone through yesterday during the whole aquarium date. The need to touch him, was so dangerously vulnerable.

Breathing in deeply, she pressed the doorbell. She prayed so bad that all the fuss Jimin had mention was just a mistake. 'Taehyung is not in danger, Taehyung is not in danger.' She repeated that again and again like a mantra.

"I'll try to endure it for us. Because I want to protect you."

Sujeong could smell his lavender scent from the outside. In simple words, Taehyung was at home. So, why was he not answering the door or his cell?

Unless.

"123095"

"It's the same as yours."

With shaky hands along holding her breath tight, she pressed his passcode.

The slight ding allowed her to enter the house. Still, she had hopes Taehyung would greet her like the usual, calling her name with that deep heavenly hoarse voice and they would then gaze at each other's eyes, melting in the presence of each other.

"Morning, Sujeong."

But, none came.

'Where is he?'

With heavy footsteps, she came in. The doorway was straight up to the vacant living room. Sujeong was just about to call out his name but stopped when her eyes were suddenly focused on a figure lying on the floor.

"Oh my God."

She came sprinting as fast as lighting, crouching just right next to Taehyung. It would be a joke if he was sleeping on the floor, it was clearly a posture when someone had passed out. She panicked the minute that she couldn't hear his breathing too. Sujeong was just about to touch him but -

"I wouldn't touch him if I were you."

Sujeong quickly turned her head to the owner's voice. He had that emotionless usual face. Namjoon had a black handkerchief, drying off his hands from something and just casually dismaying the man sprawling lifelessly on the floor.

"You!"

Sujeong stormed, or more like jumped towards Namjoon so high that she looked like she was flying. Namjoon was taken aback by the sudden attack that he was pushed hard against the wall. The loud crack noise and the traces of cement debris floating around the air were proof that Sujeong's strength had increased tremendously due to being a new kind of vampire. Yet, Namjoon didn't waver a bit, he even had a confident smug formed on his lips.
