"NO."
"Sweetie, "
"Sis, "
"Stupid, buffon."
"Don't think of this lightly Jeong."
Everyone at once protested strongly Sujeong's idea. Though, she locked eyes with her dad, sternly.
"I'm not. Rather than burdening everyone with my problem, I should be the one saving him. I should be responsible, right dad? I have more energy in me, right? I should be able to -"
"No, I won't allow it. It's either me or we not do it at all."
"Dad!"
"I'm not having this discussion."
"Why did you do it? Why did you sacrifice yourself for me before?"
Jisoo was mentally slapping Sujeong in her mind so she would realize what her decision would cost her. Even if it doesn't involve life and death, but the time needed, to wait - as Jimin said before - it's torturing. Actually, no words could precisely describe the pain of waiting for someone without knowing when he or she will wake up.
"Because he loves you, stupid! He almost lost his life saving a human so you wouldn't drown yourself in guilt."
"And that's the same reason for me!"
Hoseok was suddenly in the middle of his two sisters who looked like were about to pull each other hairs out again.
He was gripping Jisoo's sweater while Jimin was holding back Sujeong. Jungkook watched from a distance, Jimin's eyes were light blue like the deep ocean. His bandaged hand had been kept behind him all this while and every time Sujeong stormed around in his grasp, he would silently wince in pain.
"I know, I am forbidden to love a human, but still I want to, even though it's dangerous for both of us!"
"I-" "Then what about us!?"
Jimin suddenly cut Jisoo off and didn't give a moment for Sujeong to reply as he calmed down his tone.
"What if you don't wake up? What if he wakes up and you don't? Do you think, do you think we could accept him!?"
It seemed like no one had any concern left that they were basically shouting in a clinic, except only for Hoseok who kept glancing apologetically at Seokjin. Yet, the doctor himself didn't try to meddle in anything and just went on as a spectator.
It's just he really doesn't have anything to say about this. He felt particularly at fault because off not stopping Namjoon sooner or he should have forced more food on Taehyung despite his negligence.
Seeing how hard Jimin was struggling to say those words. Sujeong was left in silence. Everyone did. Everyone thought she had given up about her stupid idea but deep in her mind, she was thinking of ways to do the ritual alone when everyone had left them.
