"Dont worry snowflake we'll make it through the night" I said to my stuffed teddy as I kissed her forehead and hugged her tightly to brace my self from the cold breeze that blew "hey honey" said a sweet lady who knelt down next to me "what are you doing here all by yourself? "
"nothing"i said with a smile on my face
"where's your mommy?" She asked
"Mmmmm l dont know"
"Do you want to come with me?"
"where are you taking me?"
"A home where you can stay with some friends of your age"
I smiled at the kind lady then nodded she took my hand and we walked to her car.
"So what's your name?"
"Meg, Meghan McVeigh and what's your name?"
"My name is sister Charlotte Higgins"
"Sister Charlotte Higgins, mmmm why do you add the sister are you someone's sister?"
She let out a little and then she looked at me " it's a title, I think"
"What's the name of the place you taking me to?"
"Mmmmm I think it's called a children's home"
" why is it called that?"
"It's a home where children without homes stay"
"But if they dont homes why do they stay there?"
She let out a sigh a smiled at me " you ask too many dont you"
" sister Charlotte Higgins I'm hungry"
"Honey you dont have to call me that, you can just call me sister sister Charlotte or sister Char"
We stopped by a diner and got something to eat something about sister Charlotte made me feel safe, she's pretty and has a really great voice.
" Meghan sweetie were here!" She said as she opened the door for me, stepped out the and standing right in front of me was a huge mansion like it was grey and was big "let's go in"
We went into the mansion And wow they had a play room and in that room sat a little girl with one bright blue eye and one grey eye and long curly strawberry blonde hair she looked sad but immediately saw sister Charlotte her face lit up her little quivering lip gone and replaced by a big smile.
"Sister Charlotte!!" The little girl shouted as she came running right into sister Charlotte's hands
" hey uasmin" she said to the girl "what happened today" she kept quiet and then whispered something into sister Charlotte's ear " oh her, her name's Meghan"
" hi Meghan, my name is yasmin Jacobs" she said while stretching her hand out to shake mine, I smiled at her and shook her hand.
"Meghan McVeigh" I said with a smile on my face.
"You and me are going to be the best of friends nutmeg"
