Ryan just signalled to me to come in. He didn’t bother looking up from his phone to say ‘hi’ or ‘hello’ like normal people would, but we all know Mr ‘I don’t care what people think’ always behaves like a jerk so his attitude isn’t new.

But this night he did two things that really shocked me.

So I was busy going through my phone to check all the points I was going to raise at the meeting when I felt eyes on me, I caught Ryan staring at me with those magical green eyes but he noticed I caught him so he quickly averted his gaze to the other side of the car.

There was silence for about five minutes.

“You look beautiful”. He broke the silence.

My face felt hot so I knew I was totally blushing.

And this was the first time I got a compliment from a man other than my dad, the way he said it lit this unknown fire inside almost able to burn an entire city.

I thought I was hearing things because hello we are talking about Mr Jerk here.

But he acted nice so he deserved to be treated nice. “You look nice too”.

He immediately went back to work without another glance.

I didn’t know when we arrived at the restaurant until Ryan said “we’re here”.

The big sign board on the top of the restaurant spelt ‘sky limit’ I think they have a branch in oxford and people say their food are always  expensive and known rich people go there.

We stepped into the restaurant when I had a proper look of what Ryan was wearing. It was a navy blue suit and he unbuttoned three buttons.

The restaurant was amazing it had a kind of vintage look but with lavender coloured flowers that were lit up with many lights and so many other features

We were the last persons to arrive so I got stares from every angle. I was thinking it was because I was a bit underdressed but a larger part of my mind told me it was because I came with Ryan. But if there’s something I’ve learnt from Tara, it is the habit to ignore.
