Gemma came by this weekend to cheer me up. We had a great time playing scrabble and monopoly and would brag every time she won. She's showing now too and it just makes me even more excited about being an uncle. It's also been a great distraction from Myra, talking about my future nephew instead. Today, I walked past the conference room where Myra was getting pretty cozy with her editor. I shouldn't be jealous but I am. He gets to make her laugh and smile in public while I can't even talk to her.

Sitting at the bar, I sigh before taking a sip of my beer. I know it's not good to drink my sorrows away, especially on a Monday but what the hell. I need to stop thinking about Myra at least for a little while.

As I start my fourth beer, I hear my voice being called. I turn and mouth goes agape when I see my ex-girlfriend Lilian. Her dirty blonde hair is now a bleach blonde and she looks more tan than she was in university. "Hey, how you been?"

"Not so great actually."

"What's wrong?"

I normally wouldn't care but honestly anything to not think about Myra will be nice. Lilian explains she came here from London to surprise her boyfriend but she found out he was cheating instead. She can't catch a flight until tomorrow night so she decided to drink her problems away too.

After a couple more drinks it seemed like anything Lilian said was funny. There was a moment of silence between us and she takes the opportunity to crash her lips to mine. The taste of tequila was strong as we made our way to the bathroom.

"Let's make this quick," I say grabbing a packet from my wallet.

The next few days I tried to forget what happened in the bathroom at the bar. When I got a text from Lilian in the morning was when I realize how stupid I was. I wanted to forget about Myra so much that I didn't think of how dumb it was to sleep with my ex. I just pray Myra doesn't found out. I want to be the one to tell her.

I try to focus my attention elsewhere right now on work. My hunt to finding out to ratted us to Jade is almost done. I've narrowed it down to two people now and I'm going to talk to both of them to see which ones had a motive. I thought I was the reason why but these past two months made me realize it could've been because they wanted Myra. Which left Peter and Andrew, they both showed interest in Myra since she started working here and both might want my position. Peter has been my friend for almost eight years now so I'll talk to him last. If it's him then I don't know what I'll do.

"Hey Green, how's the book fair coming along," I say. We're hosting a book fair at an elementary school next week and Andrew is in charge of the set up this year.

"Great, I think the kids are going to love it."

"Yeah, good to hear it. So Mr. Hanson is thinking about retiring since his heart attack two weeks ago. And Jade is promoting me to President if he does. Who do you think is more qualified for VP position in your honest opinion?"
