Chapter 23

Tsukishima's POV

Amelia's phone rang and she answered it, of course.

"Hold on," She said, walking to the front door. "I'll come to get you. Where are you?" She slid her shoes on and I walked over to her. "Ok. Stay where you are. I'm coming, ok?" She put her hand on the doorknob and I walked up to her. 'She's probably going to find Yamaguchi. If he's lost, which he probably is, he's freaking out. Sorry Amelia , I'm getting Yamaguchi.' I thought.

"What's going on?" I asked, already kind of knowing the answer. She sighed.

"Yamaguchi's lost. I'm going to go find him." She turned the doorknob and started to leave. 'If I go and get him I can be the one to comfort him.'

"No!" I said, quickly putting my shoes on. "I'll go. Where is he?"

"Uhh," She said, kinda confused. "He's on Main by 18th." I took off running down the hall and out the front door of the building. I ran as fast as I could and had just reached 18th street when it started to rain. It was down pouring by the time I reached Main.

Yamaguchi's POV

I just hung up with Amelia and she said that Tsukki was coming to get me. I sat on the edge of the sidewalk, shaking and tears streamed down my face when it started to rain. Tsukki ran up to me and hugged me. I cried into his already soaked t-shirt and we sat there for what felt like forever.

"It's ok," He said quietly, rubbing my back. "I'm here. It's ok." I continued to sob into him and he picked me up, bridal style, and brought me to a nearby bus stop. He set me down on the bench and knelt in front of me, holding my shaking hands in his. My sobs quieted enough for me to be able to explain myself.

"I-I went home and g-got my stuff and was on my way to her ap-apartment when I g-got lost and I w-wandered around," I sniffled. "Then I-I called y-Amelia and she said that she would come to get me but I was scared that the s-same thing that happened to Suga and D-Daichi would h-happen to me." Tsukki smiled at me and hugged me again.

"I'm here now so you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Ok?" He pulled out of the hug to look at me properly. He cupped my face in his big hands and wiped my tears away with his thumb. "I love you, Tadashi." He whispered. As soon as he did, his face turned bright red and looked away. I gawked at him. 'Did he just say that he loves me or did I imagine that because that's what I wanted him to say?'

"I-I love you too, Tsukki." I stutter, turning just as red as Tsukki. He looked at me, a little surprised, and moved closer, closer, until our lips were almost touching.

"Perfect," He said, closing the gap between us. His lips hit mine softly, gently, and I kissed back. I broke the kiss, panting, and stared at Tsukki. He was really hot, his wet T-shirt clung to his muscular arms and abdomen, and he stared back at me, loving and a little concerned. He stood, turned around, and crouched a little. "Get on." He said. I hopped on his back and we walked (well, he walked. I was on his back) to an apartment building when he eventually put me down. He turned to face me again, a small smile tugged at his lips, and he kissed my forehead. "I love you, Tadashi. I love you so much." He whispered into my hair.
