Hi! I'm Princess Lucille Montcroix Lawson. I know, I know... it's a long name, isn't it? My name used to be much shorter in my previous life. You know? Before I got transmigrated into a game that I enjoyed playing? Back when I was at the peak of my career as a surgeon? What sucks the most is that I'm the villainess - I'm fated to die a terrible death!
The game I am stuck inside is a historical themed romance game. It has the English historical theme, with the gowns and dresses and all that. To win the game, you will need to capture the hearts of all the 3 male leads.
The first male lead is the King of the neighbouring country, Leonardo Andreas Winthrope. According to the game I played, he was crowned King at just 17 years of age. He was born as the son of a beautiful dancer from a far away land, who had died giving birth to the male lead, Leonardo. As a result, the King had always treated him coldly, along with the Empress as he always reminded them of his mother.
He is a reflection of his late mother's beauty, eyes as icy blue as the sea and hair as black as ebony and sunkissed skin that glowed under the sun.I have yet to see him, as He is only 16 now. The legal Queen, his step mother is unable to bear the King any children, hence the title of King is ultimately passed to Prince Leonardo, following the King's death in a year's time.
There are two other male leads, but of course, I have a fish brain and can not seem to remember who they were. I probably will recognise them once I see them though. I think. I mean, I hope so. I need to get the three male leads to like me until the favorability measure reaches 100. If this measure goes below 0, I will be killed one way or another by the male leads themselves!
I mean, it's already looking bad on my part. Of all the characters from this capture romance game, I had to be the villainess herself! I had to be the evil Princess Lucille all the male leads hated. All the routes with the male leads in the game lead to Lucille's death. In contrast, the female lead, my step sister Blaire, charms their hearts in all the routes.
It has only been a week since I woke up in this game. Although it has taken me some time to adjust to my new surroundings, it doesn't feel like this is real. When I first woke up, I was in bed. I hadn't noticed anything strange until I saw my pale thin hands. They looked so youthful. I then began looking around the room and noticed my appearance in the mirror. I had the same golden curly locks that the villainess in the game had. In the reflection, Lucille's skin was flawless and rosy, it had a beautiful glow. She had a cut button nose and big deep green eyes. Her lashes, like her hair, had been so thick and curly. They framed her deep green eyes like the sun shining on a deep forest.
I was blatantly staring in shock at the appearance I reflected. I thought it was a doll until I realised it was my reflection. How can the male leads have it in their heart to kill this beauty?
Ever since I had woken up in this world, I would stare at myself in the mirror. My plump rosy lips would always hang wide open in shock every morning. Even Anne and Marie, the two maids that tend to me every morning and night, have been suspicious of my behaviour recently.
The maids also seem very wary around me, perhaps because unlike Lucille, I haven't been throwing tantrums and I also haven't been going to the dining room to eat dinner with everyone.
Sadly, I can not stay locked up in my room all day. I have to go downstairs for breakfast today as my father Julius, the King, has ordered me to join the family for dinner. This family excludes my mother, who is a maid that my father had slept with one time.
As you may have guessed, yes, I, Lucille, am an accident. That's why, even though I'm a Princess, I was never really accepted as one. In the Palace, no one is on Lucille's side. Her mother died shortly after giving birth to Lucille.
She must have never been shown any real affection. For her to meet such a cruel end in all three routes is so sad. Even her angelic sister, Blaire, chooses to avoid Lucille.
She has never been properly educated or taught high class social rules. As a result she has always been the black sheep of the royal family. Even commoners would laugh at Lucille. The maids always seem to bicker on about how great Blaire is in comparison to her.
I have, however, decided I will do whatever it takes to win this game. This means that I must first work on my horrible reputation and education. I will have to speak to my father about studying this country and history and so on.
Thankfully, the language is in english. I also have my own high education knowledge from my 13 year career as a surgeon and medic. In my previous life, I was very diligent in my studies. I went to a top university and worked as the best in my field.
Thankfully, I have most of my memories intact from my career as a surgeon. I could use this to my advantage and could somehow try to improve this world's medicinal and surgical knowledge.
To seem less suspicious, I need to persuade my father to hire teachers for me to play along. I don't really know the education standards for this world. It must be especially low for girls.
I also need to address another very important matter. In this world, females don't engage in exercise. It's foreign and seen as a masculine activity. I, however, hate Lucille's frail body and poor stamina. The only reason Lucille remains thin is perhaps because she is fed very little, as are other females to maintain a thin frail and 'ideal' body shape.
I still have time until I have to go down for breakfast. I think I have about an hour. I have already dressed in men's exercise trousers from this game world. I am currently doing my jog around the palace outside. The guards are all gawking openly at me alongside the maids.
It has barely been 30 seconds and I am a heaving sweaty hot mess. I'm so glad I started exercising now, I really need to improve my stamina as Lucille. After a 15 minute run, I couldn't go anymore and decided to end it with some stretches.
My maid Anne ran me a warm bath, while Marie undressed me. "How can a Princess run around like a lunatic like that?" Anne exclaimed under her breath. "Displaying your legs to men, trying to seduce the guards so early in the morning. I thought she had changed." She continued to rant even though she knew I was in hearing range. I rolled my eyes. In times like this I really prefer Marie over Anne. Marie keeps her comments to herself.
After my bath, they dressed me in a very low cut and provocative dress that was too similar to what a prostitute in this game world would wear. I guess Anne must be trying to embarrass me at the dining table. "Anne, this is enough. I don't want to wear that filthy dress. I want to wear the light blue, simple dress I recently bought."
Anne paused what she was doing once I started talking. She seems beyond shocked that I realised what she was trying to do. How can Lucille not notice this. Maybe Lucille did notice but never opposed as she has never been treated well before. This will not continue though. "Why are you standing still? Are you waiting for flies to enter your mouth?" I taunted Anne.
She realised that I opposed her and with her lips pressed to a thin line she got me the light blue dress. I then asked Marie to help me dress and excused Anne out of my room. She is after all just a spy that reports my every move to the Queen, Blaires mother.
