Okay, first of all, I want to say a big thank you to anyone and everyone reading this book. I may not be much of a writer but I sure know how to express my thoughts and arrange my content.
This book is about crimes generally, but I had to make it specific on kidnapping which is a very big threat in Nigeria right now.
So moving to the characters, I'll be doing a brief summary on each of the characters in this book. Sorry, there will be no pictures but I will also give a physical description of each character as the story goes on.
Carly Davenport is seventeen years old. She is shy even though she's the daughter of the president of Nigeria. She does not have a bad character or record but has
a few friends and family who she is very close to. She does good to everyone she meets . In general, she is a very nice and lovable person. In this story, she is a second year university student in the university of Cambridge who had come back home for her holiday .
Nathaniel Nathan is one of Carly's friend from school. He is an American citizen but studies at Cambridge to get away from his home and parents. He is nice, like Carly, but not to the extent of allowing himself to be used. He is in his early twenties, twenty-one to be specific and has a British accent. He, unlike Carly is dark skinned. He acts as Carly's guardian angel.
Mrs Flora Davenport, Carly's mother and the first lady of Nigeria, is a forty five year old woman of prestige and power. She is hard headed unlike her daughter Carly who is soft and gentle.
She abuses her power as first Lady and even kills to have her way. She and Carly do not have a good relationship simply because of their Different perspectives on life.
Flora Davenport is not only a bad firstlady but also a bad mother .
Henry Davenport, the president of Nigeria is a very corrupt man. He is not only a bad leader but also a bad husband and a bad father. He has little or no value for human life and is almost never sober considering his huge addiction to alcohol at fifty years .
Nancy Reyes is another friend of Carly's. She is not a softie like Carly. She has no weak point. She is a strict and disciplined person and acts as the mother Carly never had. She is an American lady of nineteen years.
The Kidnappers are quintuplets and are nineteen years old.
The leader of the group is Azeez Ali who is also the first born of the quintuplets. The rest are:Al- Amin, Abu, Aisha and Aliya all from the Ali family.
The boys, Azeez,Abu and Al- Amin are tough. They are all dark skinned and speak English fluently, without an accent.They were abandoned by their parents who later died. Having no food to eat and living in the streets, they survived by stealing food from the market in their neighbourhood. First pickpocketing, then stealing items ranging from food to huge amounts of money and finally,robbery.They were once thugs used by Henry Davenport to rig the presidential election. However, Mr President abandoned them after the election and they have since sought revenge.
They often have fights because of their different views but end up staying together because they fear that if they break apart, somebody among them will betray them.
Aliya Ali is the last born of the Ali quintuplets and also the bravest. She is stubborn and a good fighter. She is usually the one who goes first and makes the first move in any robbery operation. She smokes and drinks like her siblings.
Aisha Ali is the second of the Ali quintuplets. She is more of a boy than a girl. She likes to get anything she wants by force. She believes in using what she has to get what she wants and the only thing she has to offer is violence. She is a very violent person and all her siblings except Azeez do whatever she says.
Abu Ali is the third of the Ali quintuplets. He unlike his sisters is kind hearted although he is a criminal. He always tries an option other than violence during their robbery operations and is often mocked by his siblings any time he tries to be nice. He plans to leave the group whenever he has the chance. He is the only one who does not smoke or drink, instead, he cries after every robbery operation.
Al-Amin, the fourth of the Ali quintuplets is the only one who moves with the crowd. He is not straight forward and does not speak his opinion. He follows the rules and leaves loopholes in every operation for the group to get caught. He is not a teetotaler like Abu nor is he a heavy drinker and smoker like Azeez. He is moderate in his practises and has a very cunning personality.
Azeez Ali, the first of the quintuplets and the leader of the group called Ali's disciples is a pig in the creek. He plays dirty and does not get caught. He is a professional criminal and knows how to identify people. He doesn't get confused easily and knows how to catch a rat. He is almost undefeatable but his greatest fear his sister, Aisha Ali. He tries to hide this fear but fails. So, in order to avoid trouble with his sister, he makes sure their parts don't cross.
He had fought for the leadership of the group with his sister and had won only because he was smarter than her.
