Group C was chosen.
(Y/N) felt nervous, so she thought it would be best to join the group to her right. Joe was being eerily quiet, so she decided it would be beneficial if she followed what he was doing. The left group was plain scary.
Right it was.
Her throat felt dry, the burst of adrenaline was gone from her.
(Y/N) frequently got anxious, and it often hit her all at once. Such as that time when she fussed up her presentation, where she stuttered horribly. The audience laughed at her, and she swore she could hear people jeering and mocking at her.
Don't faint, don't faint..
She'd rather die than embarrass herself in front of a group of strangers, as it would add onto her large catalogue of 'Embarrassing Moments That'll Haunt me in my Sleep', that was expanding at a much more rapid pace than she'd prefer.
(Y/N) cupped her face, took a couple breathers, and quietly stepped into the group. There's no use in panicking, because the more she thought about it, the more cons she'd find, and then she'd never be able to approach anybody.
They were considerable quieter, as there was a high-schooler(?), some alt-punk girl, and a small kid enveloped in a cape. It was an odd bunch, and although (Y/N) was considerably knowledgeable about every day occurrences, she didn't recognize the punker. She was pacing about, muttering about her band, and her.. bongos?
None of her business. Whatever. The teen gave her a side-glance, and smiled at her. She awkwardly smiled back, accompanied by a small wave.
.. He was kind of cute.
___________
The blond man in the centre group called everyone over, causing a little girl to be overlooked. When the group covering her shuffled forward, (Y/N) could catch a glimpse of a cowering girl, with a green uniform donned. The school didn't seem recognizable to her, so it was possible this was a wider-scale type of abduction.
"Okay, so we're all probably confused. No use yapping to the air; let's try talking as a group." he said, voice echoing off the eccentric looking lobby. Aquamarine grout was along the edges of midnight blue tiles, and they covered the entire room -- from the roof, to the floor. Eerie passages littered one side of the room, with pink cushions coddled at the ends. Presumably, this is where everyone came from. (Y/N) wasn't sure, as her and Joe were the last ones to wander out. There were three larger entrances at the other sides, but one wall was completely barren.
Their kidnappers had strange tastes.
The group assented, although they didn't know where to go after that. Blondie was grazing the crowd, as if he was peering into their souls. (Y/N) felt goosebumps.
The punk girl voiced her thoughts, "Do any of you fuckers know anything?" murmured voices didn't lend much fuel to the discussion.
(Y/N) could feel piercing eyes staring into her, as the man finally said, "Oi, Miss, let's do discussions."
"A.. aah.. me?" she pointed towards herself.
"Yep. Whaddya think?"
"Er.. Why ask me..? Sure, I think it's a good idea.."
"Hm? Where'd the girl from before go? Could've sworn you were just swearing your guts out." he lifts his hand to his neck, "Admirable choice. See, this is why. The sensible ones know what to do."
