They heard a loud voice behind ,as they turned their head.There stood a tall, skinny, fair complexioned woman in a bright pink dress. A very short one at that, with strappy stilettos.
She came fast towards Arnav as she went clinging to him, and animatedly greeting him. A bit too close for comfort from where she stood.
However, before Arnav could even begin his round of questions, the girl jumped onto him... hugging him tightly... making him take a couple of steps behind... resulting in him being yanked away from Khushi. The loss of her cold, clammy hand made him uncomfortable... but what was to follow, was even worse.

Lavanya, Avantika's childhood friend who was came from London with Avantika, could not contain her happiness at finally seeing Arnav after a long time. She ran ahead and hugged him tightly, and pecked him on the cheek while drawing back to look at his shocked face.
"Heyy... Arnie! What's wrong with you? Don't look so shocked. Avanti invited me for the party because as usual,you forgot to invite your friend." She stuck out her tongue and hugged him again.
Arnav was shocked beyond words and not really happy to see Lavanya here. As he overcame his initial surprise, he pulled himself back from her and said,
"Hmmm. Avi didn't tell you are coming..." He paused for a while and continued,
"And I think sunshine's invitation is enough for you to come here."
Arnav faked a smile, seemingly oblivious to one very hurt and uncomfortable person.
Khushi took a couple of steps behind, to put a distance between their conversation. She did not know what to feel or think, as she had just seen a girl hugging and kissing Arnav. Not only that, she was his friend,most probably his girlfriend at some stage in life. It hurt to see the man she loved with another girl... a girl, who looked so good standing with him. Her short dress, accentuating her perfect figure, her expensive jewellery and her impeccable hairdo,everything screamed her elegance. Now that she noticed this girl Lavanya, she realized how perfectly she fit into his family. She noticed how she hugged him without any hesitancy, how she chatted with him.
A sinking feeling settled in her heart to see Arnav with another girl. She felt bereft,the loss of his warm hand, his attention and his care.
Avantika's voice brought her out from her thoughts,
"Khush.., this is Lav...I mean Lavanya Khyashap , My childhood friend."
Khushi saw Lavanya staring at her without any expression.Khushi felt some disturbed feeling looking at her.
"Lav...this is Khushi......Gayu Aunty's best friend's daughter " Avantika said with a smile.
