‘KNOCK’
I stirred around in my bed and put my pillow over my head to drown out the noise.
‘KNOCK’
Ugh, can’t the world just go away for a little bit?
“Hey, Marcus you in there? It’s me, Roya.” a voice said behind the door to my apartment.
She must of been yelling, there was no way I could anything behind two doors.
I sat up and rubbed my eyes tiredly before letting out a long yawn. Looking down, I realized that I was in the same clothes I was in yesterday.
“Uhh,” I mumbled while stretching.
“Ummmm, hello?”
I glanced at my bedroom door before getting out of bed. I stretched once more before opening my bedroom door and walked out into my living room, which still had no furniture.
“Are you even home or am I just talking to myself?” Roya yelled beyond the door.
I winced, I knew she was yelling.
I opened the apartment door, at the same time she was going to knock, and she punched me right in face.
“Gah….” I stumbled back rubbing my nose.
“I.. uh.. I … SORRY!”
Roya ran into the living room and tried to see if my face was okay.
I let out a jagged breath and looked at her, only to see her frame all cracked.
“Y-Your glasses, they’re broken!.... S-Sorry.”
I slipped off my glasses, and with the little vision I still had, I looked at them. It’s not like I need to see or anything.
“Yeah, but don’t worry about it, I’m sure there is some place in Boston that can repair them.” I responded, trying to calm her down.
“Oh there is! We should go there now, or after you get dressed,”
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I just nodded and headed into my room to get changed.

“So, are they fixable?” Roya asked concerned.
“Yeah they are, but the glass is pretty expensive, I mean I’ve never seen anyone with such poor vision that they needed this glass.” The man replied.
Gee thanks.
The man at the store was pretty big, and took his work seriously. The top of his head was balding and every once in a while he would glance at my black locks. Maybe he is just jealous?
“I’ll pay for it Marcus, I’m the one who broke them in the first place.”
I looked at Roya, when she was acting like Elizabeth, she was actually really nice and funny. When she laughed, no matter what the occasion, the air felt lighter. I can see why Dan really likes her.
“Okay then miss, it will be around $110 per glass.”
Roya’s eyes went wide, but she was still willing to keep her end of the ‘promise’ she had made.
She handed him her debit card along with whispering something in the man’s ear. What is with her and whispering?
“Okay, that will be an extra $25.” The repairman asked.
