What you should know : in this story Selena quintanilla is a famous Latin/pop singer , at this time she is 16 so she has not yet rose to fame , she's an average girl who is not yet known for her talent . Her father is a famous music producer . The Tori character is her best friend  , how Selena looks in the picture above is how she looks at this time in the story , the setting is in 1979. Enjoy <3

It's 3:30 in the afternoon when you hear a knock at your front door .You walk over to the door and open it to see tori , your best friend standing there .

"Hey tori" , you say looking at her confused because she had just left this morning from spending the night at your house last night .

"Hey Selena , I just wanted to stop by because I remembered I forgot to give you your birthday present! " she says smiling

You still look at her confused because you can clearly see her holding no present and nothing around her . You gesture your hand inviting her inside .           "Okay...come in , Have a seat! "

Tori has a seat , you sit beside her looking at her , you looked at her nervously and said ,"so what did you bri-" ....before you could finish your sentence she reaches into her back pocket and pulls out an envelope . "Here!" She says as she hands you the envelope.

You look at her confused while you begin to open the envelope slowly , " Oh hurry up would you! " She says excitingly  jumping up and down in her seat .

You tear open the envelope and two pieces of paper fall out onto the floor , you grab them " Thank you for the ....two strips of paper ?!? " You say holding them up . "Turn then around you idiot !." Tori says jokingly

You turn them around , " um Tori , I think you forgot that , I can't read English yet" ..... "Oh! Yeah I forgot Mi Senorita"  , she says as she does a bow ..... you roll your eyes jokingly , "will you sit down and just read them to me" you say laughing

You look at tori waiting for her to tell you what they are . A long pause of silence appears until she looks at You and says , "...........Were Going To The Jackson 5 Concert TONIGHT!!!!!"

Before anything else could come out of her mouth You jump up and give her a big hug " omg Tori!!! Wha- Whe- When did you get these !" You say holding onto her shoulders

"You know how I was bailing on hanging out with you , and canceling our plans for like the last , two months ?" She says . "Um of course , I thought you were just being lazy  like the usual " you say laughing . "Um okay ....okay rude ! But no , I was taking extra shifts at my job so I could get enough money to buy  these ! "

You give her another hug "omg thank you tori , I can't wait to go  ...speaking of , when is it !?!?!? "
"See about that , the concerts tonight at 6 and it's 4:00 right now , so you better go get dressed because we all know you ,miss "beauty queen" takes hours to get ready" she says looking at me with a playful look

"Oh whatever , but you have to come help me choose what to wear !"  You say squealing . "Okay well let's go we don't have a lot of time !" She says as she takes your hand and pulls you up stairs .

When you two make it up the stairs into your room you head straight to your closet and start pulling out clothing , asking Tori if she likes them . Finally you pull out a leather jacket , white top, leather pants , and black high heel boots.

"Do you like this ?" , "Omg! That's so cute" Tori says as she walks over to get a closer look .. "well what are you waiting for , go try it on !!" She says . " you put on the outfit as she waits out side the bedroom door...  "Come in!!!" You yell to her . she walks in and by the look on her face you can't tell if she likes it . ".....Selena  It's so pretty!!"

You smile "thank you now we just have to do my makeup and hair" . "ok I got the perfect look , how about some dark mascara and a popping red lip , with some gold hoop earrings , and for your hair you can just wear your natural curls ." She says as she's handing you everything you need to complete the look .

"Well I guess i have no choice now" you say laughing
. You walk over to the mirror to put on the makeup and jewelry . You finish and turn around to look at her "how do I look !" As you pucker your lips towards her , "you look so pretty , now let's go because it's already 5:20 and it starts at 6"

You grab your things and head out the door , but before you leave you yell to your parents. "Mom , Dad I love y'all , I'll be back around midnight!!!!" Your so excited you don't even wait for their answer and walk out the door and get in the car . Tori starts the car and begins to drive towards the concert grounds .
