Your 25 minutes into the car ride with Michael .you keep looking over at him to admire his side profile."you like what you see?" Michael says while laughing. You feel embarrassed that he just caught you . "Oh! I'm sorry I jus- ." Before you could finish he interrupts you "don't apologize, if I could stare at you all day I would." He says as he puts his hand on your leg with the other on the steering wheel.

30 Minutes Later
Michael pulls into your drive way and parks . "It was nice being with you tonight" . "I feel the same way , I can't wait until next time." He says with a big smile on his face . "Well I better head inside . I can see my grandma and mom waiting at the door watching us " you say laughing while pointing at them . He looks at them and starts laughing . You get out and shut the door . "Bye Michael" . "Bye Selena" he says while talking to you through the car window.

You walk up to the front door where you are greeted by your grandma and mom standing there smiling at you. "BYE MICHAEL I LOVE YOU !! COME BACK ANY TIME , I HAVE TACOS AND TAMALES FOR YOU!!" Your grandma yells as she sees him driving away . He ducks down in his car to look through the window , he waves and laughs as he pulls away . "GRANDMA!! why would you say that" you say in a serious tone . "I just wanted my future boyfriend to know that if he ever wants to see me , then he can come back at any time" your grandma says with an attitude while rolling her eyes as she walks back inside to the kitchen .

You and your mom stand there laughing at each other "she's crazy" your mom says as she walks back inside to the kitchen with your grandma . "Tell me about it". You say as you walk in and go to the kitchen with them . "So what did you two do" your mom says . "Well I have REALLY big news that I don't think I can hold in any longer !" As you say that you hear your father walk down the stairs and into the kitchen .

"What's this big news your talking about" he says looking at you . "Well I was just about to tell mom and grandma, but while I was at Michaels today , he handed me a contract and it was asking if I ......wanted to be signed with his label!" You say Hesitantly while looking at him , your scared for what he will say now that he knows you signed a contract behind his back . He is your manager so this might not go good .

"Selena , why did you not tell me about it first . We all know you can't read English yet so how do you know he was being truthful." . "He read it to me papa , I promise he wouldn't do anything like that" you say while begging him to believe you. "Let me talk to him ...call him right now" he says with a serious tone. You go to the house phone and type in his number , you give it to your dad while it's ringing .you walk over beside your mom because your scared and have never seen him this mad .

Michael : Hello?

Dad: hello , This is Selena's father , Abraham ...is this Michael ?

Michael: oh! Hello Mr .Quintanilla , and yes this is Michael .

Dad : I just wanted to call you and ask , what's up with this contract you had my daughter sign . Your not tricking her are you? ....

Michael: oh my sir , no I would never ..I showed my label some recordings of your daughter . they gave me a contract to show her and ask if she would like to sign with them .

Dad : you do know that she can not read English yet right? And you have her sign a CONTRACT?? I would like to have a copy of this "contract" you speak of.

Michael : yes sir , I understand that , that's why before she signed it I read it to her . If that's what makes you more comfortable with the situation , I will send u a copy of the contract through the mail.

Dad: thank you , you seem like a genuine kid. But I also want to tell you that if my daughter gets harmed while she's in your presence , you better watch out...

Michael : yes sir , I promise to keep her safe .

Dad: have a good day , Goodbye Michael

You: you too sir , goodbye

When you see your dad hang up you, your mom , and grandma look over at him in fear . "Well what did he say ?" Your mom says quietly . "He's sending me the copy of the contract. Im trusting you Selena that you would not do anything to hurt your career. And he seems like a nice person so I'm believing you. but never do anything like that behind my back again!" He says in a serious tone . "Yes papa , I promise ." . "Other than that , I'm happy for you Selena . This is a big step for you" he says as he comes to give you a hug .

You hug him back . Your grandma and mom join in on the hug . "Well you better get to bed hunny , it's getting late ." Your grandma says as she kisses your cheek. "Ok , I love you all , goodnight ." You say as your give each of them a hug . You head up stairs into your room where you begin to get ready for bed .
