Dads Disapproval

When you hear those words come out his mouth you drop down to the ground to be at the same level as him . "Yes Michael .! I will!" You say as you start crying . he then slides the ring onto your finger . You then both stand up and he hugs you , kissing you and wiping away your tears "I love you Selena." He says while smiling .  "I love you too Michael." .

You then hear clapping from the other side of the beach . You both look over and it's the security guards cheering  and clapping for you . You both just laugh at them . "It's getting dark , we better get you home beautiful." When he says that you nod your head and agree.

You both walk up the beach and over to the limo , when you get in you look down at your hand and admire the ring . You think to yourself  You've honestly never seen such a big and beautiful diamond . Michael notices you looking at it , "you like it?" He says giggling . "Yes Michael I do ." You give him a kiss .

After 30 minutes go by the limo pulls up at your house . Before you get out you hug Michael . "Bye Selena , I had fun with you tonight . Go and get some rest beautiful." He says as he takes your hand with ring on it ,he  kisses the back of your hand . You smile at him as you get out and shut the door

As your walking towards the front door all you could think about was how your father would react .

You open the door and walk in to see your family in the kitchen eating dinner . "Oh Selena your home , do you want to eat with us ?" Your mom says when you enter the kitchen . "Um no thanks mom , I actually just ate with Michael...." you say to her . "Did you have fun ?" Your grandma asks while smiling .

"Yeah I did ! Now I'm just a little tired ." You say as you try and walk up stairs to your room fast. "Selena , where are you going...Come sit down for a while , we haven't seen you all day ." When you hear your dad say that , you turn around and go sit at the kitchen table with them . "So what did you two do?" Your dad asks . "Oh we just went to the boardwalk and walked around , that's all." You say nervously.

Your mom notices your anxiousness . "What's wrong Selena?" Your mom says . "Yeah your acting weird Selena . What happened ." Your dad says agreeing with her .

You then think to yourself that you can't hide it forever . You pull your hand out of your pocket and put your hand on the table . "What's that Selena." Your dad says as he notices the ring .

"......He proposed ." When you said that you can hear your grandma and mom gasp but you could kinda see the excitement  in their eyes . But you look over at your dad and you can see the anger building up in his .

"Selena ....WHAT did you just say ." He says . When you hear him say that you just stay silent for a bit . "He proposed papa."  You say nervously.

"Take that ring off right NOW!" He says ........ "Oh calm down Abraham , you don't control her life! She's not a little girl anymore ."  Your mom says as she comes up beside you . "Yeah Let her be free for once." Your grandma says agreeing with her .

"I Don't care , She's not going to marry Him . I could give 2 FUCKS if he's the "King Of POP." He will NOT be marrying my daughter ." Your dad says as he gets up from his chair pointing at you . You just sit back , looking at him in the eyes while there's tears coming down your face .

"Abraham They are both 23 . Let her grow up for once ." Your mom says .

"I don't care , Tomorrow I BETTER not see That ring on her finger ." Your dad says as he storms away upstairs to his room and slams the door .

"It's okay Selena . Don't listen to him ." Your mom says as she comforts you . "Yeah , I'll talk  some sense into him , don't worry about it ." Your grandma says as she rubs your hand .

"Thank you but I think I'm just gonna go to bed now ." You say as you get up . "Okay , sleep well hunny " your mom says .

You give them a hug and walk up to the bathroom  . You brush your teeth and change into some pajamas . You then head to your room and get in bed .
