As my world fades into wintery night once again,
I retreat into the darkness of my den.
As the colors in my vision disappear into a neutral gray,
I watch the bonds that once held me fray.
As my guiding lights travel on without me,
I hear from within my heart a silent plea.
It said, "You're not meant to be alone,
So go on, travel on through the white snow.
Search for the place you call home.
The family that has been protecting you since long ago."6/28/2020
