I don't remember ever seeing sites so beautiful. So different, But yet so real. It is now 12am and orientation is in 2 hours. But I must come 30 minutes before to receive my schedule. So far today has been the highlight of my summer.
I know most people never look forward to school after summer and never want summer break to end. That is the exact opposite of how I am feeling. I can't wait for this new beginning.
My dorm room is quite small but maintainable. Two beds, one for of course me and another obviously for my room mate. Who I have not met just yet. Perhaps she will come after orientation.
After I finished my phone call with my dad I started unpacking my luggage and placing my clothing in drawers and in the closet on my side of the room.
My room is on the 6th floor which is pretty cool for me because there is such a nice view. The last floor is the 8th floor which makes the building HUGE! I get to see the castle like school and the town homes of oxford. The bathroom is right by the door and next to that is a small area holding a table. Right across the door are two windows big enough to cover the whole wall.
The dinning hall is on the first floor so is the entertainment and studying hall and others. The girls and boys are in this one building which I feel is pretty insane. Makes me feel a tiny bit less safe but no big deal. I will learn to adjust. life is all about adjusting.
After I finish packing and getting a bit situated I lay in bed for quite a while. All I was able to think about was the plane ride. How I wish I was able to be more social and I wish I never fell asleep because then Harry wouldn't have changed seats.

It is now 1:15 and I start heading out my room. My roommate as not yet made her appearance but i'm not stressing it. As I close my door I make sure I have my phone in my back pocket and my wallet in my jacket pocket. There is a chose to either take an elevator or go down 5 flights of stares. My choice was easy and It is to take the elevator.
When I make it to the first floor there is maybe an estimate of 50 students already talking. So many British accents. I feel a little out of place knowing I am most likely the only American. I have to past the lobby were several Students are hanging out on the couch talking and laughing.
I walk by not trying to draw attention to myself knowing I may have a few eyes on me. I keep my head down. I know I was very much confident when I was in the cab but now it is wearing off. I make no eye contact what so ever as I am almost going through the door.
"Excuse me you dropped this!"
I was just about to touch the handle to the door until I heard a deep British voice speak. The voice was deep yet slow and calming. I turn around facing and look straight ahead to a guy holding money in his hand.
The man stood taller than me with a modern hair style of light brown hair swooped up into the air. He has nice grey eyes That are covered with his wide frame black glasses. His face is nicely structured with a grin.
I walk towards him checking my pocket for my wallet. I check to see if all my money was in there. "That's not mine..." I say politely smirking mesmerized by his smile.
"I know I just wanted to find a reason to talk to you." he says looking down at his feet putting his money in his pocket. A smile slips threw my lips as I release a breathe. I feel more relax seeing that I caught someone's attention. In a good way that is.
"My name is Marcus" He says while pulling his hand out ready for me to shake it. I pull mines out also still smiling, "I'm Val." He looks into my eyes with a smirk then biting his bottom lip.
