Your eyes met his before you averted your gaze to the side, sweat dripping down the side of your face as you bit your lip. He smiles as the bright sun weirdly hits his stark white teeth, advancing towards your wary form.

"Relax, (Y/U)."

"I really admire your coding abilities, Fundy," you flapped your shirt to let air through it. "But you code the most torturous shit sometimes so I have to be wary."

His laugh echoed through the empty plains, angling his fox mask over his head to shield his face from the light. "Come on, it's just a test, and I'll be playing with you. The plugin isn't even on right now."

You sighed in relief.

"So you know how I've been making these new difficulty videos? I've made one that's called Nightmare!"

You took back your sigh. The more Fundy talked about the little specific changes he added from Impossible++ and the new ones for Nightmare, you silently prayed that your laptop would forgive you for any future violence you might instill on it.

You were known as the survivalist, not a speedrunner. Which is why Fundy thought you'd be the best candidate for this test-run. Fundy gave you a reassuring nod, before typing in the command in the console to start the plugin.

"THEY HAVE AIMBOT, (N/N), I CAN'T DODGE SHIT!"

Fundy clutched your body tight as he felt another arrow hit him in the back where his chestplate was, minimizing the damage but still given enough damage to make you and him worry more. You were currently in his arms as you looked over his shoulder worryingly, watching the skeleton ready another shot before Fundy dived around a stone wall.

You were mining in a cave system with Fundy protecting you when you forgot that torches were breaking as you traverse through it. Without even noticing, mobs with overpowered armor quickly overwhelmed you both. A skeleton managed to knock you off the ledge and fall painfully to one heart, bruising your knee and slowing you down together with blindness.

You smacked Fundy upside the head (costing him half a heart) with this stupidly hard challenge before giving him a piece of bread. Because you're vegan in this game and the saturation is just so bad without meat. At least you salvaged all your stuff when your inventory spilled over.

"I thought I was gonna die there, oh my God- why did you have to make Vexes appear when killing mobs?! You're a demon!"

Fundy only laughed with a piece of bread in his mouth while you continuously hit him in frustration. With how loud you were complaining he guessed even Spifey would have heard this.

"It's supposed to be a nightmare ahah, anyways how's your knee?" Eager to avert the conversation, Fundy suddenly pulled up your knee for closer inspection. It was bruise and scuffed but it wasn't anything serious, just clean up and more bread and it would heal up quite nicely. He pulled out a piece of cloth and started wrapping your knee with it.

While all this was happening, unbeknownst to Fundy you were already cured of the potion effects, your face already flushed from the proximity of your freakin' leg to his face. You were grumbling as you hid your face with your hands, not wanting to see him nor him to see you.

"You good? The effect shouldn't last that long but you look really flushed. Are you still taking damage? Is something wrong with the code?" Setting down your knee Fundy moves in to inspect your face, extremely curious and adamant to know the flaws of his code before actual publication. While you were there, without wither nor poison, just the deadly virus of embarrassment hunting you more and more as he comes ever so closer-
