" GUN MANIA BEGINS IN 10 MINUTES PLAYERS!!! IT'S A FIGHT TILL THE DEATH, THERE CAN ONLY BE 600 WINNERS... SO THOSE WEAKLINGS BETTER HIDE!!!" A Voice over speakers rang cheerily. This... Gun mania thing, was only in the beta testing once. I placed first. The other 50 beta testers, placed behind 5th- somehow
I knew I could use my clothing of all blue to blend in with the blue smoke clouding the arena, and every area, that Gun Mania was going to be held in. I purchased, two other guns, for Shi-chan to use, one being a smoke gun, that held up to one thousand blue colored bombs, that would, in theory, after being fired, create a blue mist. So I, would blend in just fine.
Finally, ten minute's went by, me and Shi-chan were ready. We heard the Gun Mania was gunna be held in The Blue Desert, so we decked out in Blue, being sure other players would be in default camouflage. "You ready Katsume?" I asked, with a glance of our surroundings. "Yes... Erm... What's your name?" Shi-chan asked
"Mizuki Mazoku" ((the Name Hikaru in the prologue was a nickname given to Mizuki by her Onēsan)) ((Onēsan means older sister))
"W-wait... Doesn't Mizuki mean Beautiful Moon and Mazoku mean Demon?" Shi-chan asked nervously "uh- yeah.. Why?" I questioned even more on edge than I was before, "no reason.." Shi-chan trailed off. I nodded, and put off what Shi-chan said.
"GET READY DEAR PLAYERS... CAUSE THE GUN MANIA STARTS NOW!!!!" A voice blasted from the speakers, with a bubbly, but mysterious tone. I grabbed my gun, and took Shi-chan's wrist in my other hand leading her to a small, secluded area, inside of a Hollow tree. Non of the other players, execpt beta players, knew about this. " when you see someone coming, shout the words 'Blue Devil' and blast the blue bomb guns, I'll do the rest." I quitley told Shi-chan, she, nodded with a small glance behind her.
Why is she so... Paranoid? I thought to myself. I brushed off my thoughts and stayed attentive. A few second's past.. Silence.. A few minute's past..silence...
"BLUE DEVIL!" I heard Shi-chan shout, signalling it was time for me to attack. I swiftly, and Quietly, ran out from the Hollow tree, taking out my blue, handled knife, and gun. The other player's already in major confusion, started panicking. I ran under them, cutting through each of their thigh's once, then delivered a few shot's to their heads, then I ran back to the Hollow tree. Shi-chan, looked rather stunned for a few seconds, looking almost as if she saw a ghost, but soon returned to her normal stance "G-good job Mazoku-chan" Shi-chan said with a small smile "Thanks, you too." I replied, keeping myself alert, just in case anyone wanted to ambush us, at the last second.
Footsteps soon echoed throughout the valley we were hidden in, and players soon came into view "BLUE DEVIL!" Shi-chan shouted, firing off her smoke bomb gun twice. I ran out of the Hollow tree, and searched for the player's that Were our targets, I soon found them, doing what I did to the last players, I killed them fairly quick. A drop of regret filled my chest, mainly because, these real people, were dying
I brushed off my thoughts, for what felt the millionth time, running back into the hollowed out tree. A few seconds passed, and I heard faint whispering.. It wasn't Shi-chan, she was looking out of a small hole that was inside the tree, she seemed to noticed them too. Shi-chan, looked at me and I nodded my head yes, knowing that other players, were planning to ambush us.
"BLUE DEVIL" shi-chan shouted, firing off the bombs, i dashed out grabbing her wrist, forcing her to follow me, "w-where are we going?" Shi-chan hesitantly asked, just above a whisper "In a cave, there are some mobs, but their level one teir one." I replied rushing her into a small cave after a few minutes of running.
A, warthhog, came from seemingly nowhere, running towards Shi-chan. I, quickly grabbed my blue handled knife, and dashed towards it, cutting it in half. "Whoahh... How'd you do that?" Shi-chan asked in surprise "It's simply VR game.. So all in all, the mob won't notice you, it's just attacking what the game has programmed it to attack, warthogs in particular, in this VR game at least, can't change direction once it's locked it's target. So, i just have to run straight into it, and, it's dead" I explained with a small smile, "Hey, Mazoku-San?" Shi-chan asked, "hm?" I replied, with a small tilt of my head, "were you ever aiming to become an Anthropologist? You'd make a great one."Shi-chan asked

"I was.. Until this happened" I chuckled, blue fog, covering the arena now, making it hard to see. Shi-chan, and I, had taken some night vision, heat censored goggles. We now, applied the goggles, so we could see.

~°{Sorry it took like, a month to update! I've been traveling and we recently got a house in South Dakota, and plan to come to that house in October, August, or a month after that.
