"Has your mother said anything else? You know after the whole kissing scenario she witnessed. Is she still angry at me?"
"I don't think so. She has probably forgotten about it by now. Don't worry about it. She will get over it eventually."
Becky glanced at him, "You really don't care about what she thinks, do you?"
"Why will you say? Of course I care. She is my mother and every opinion of hers matter to me," he replied, getting a bit defensive.
Becky gave the key a sharp twist and locked her locker. She smiled broadly at him, "Yes, but sometimes you don't make it seem like it is. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you don't care about your mother. It's just that sometimes you come across as judgemental. It's like your mother has no right to interfere in your life because she has done something unforgiving and horrible."
He ran his hand through his hair. He wasn't prepared for this conversation. If anything he will like to avoid any discussion that has to do with his mother. Their relationship is going so well and he didn't want his mother to get tangled up in their lives and ruin everything. "Look my mother isn't perfect. Yes, there are times that she gets on my nerves and I hers but that doesn't mean I don't respect her opinions. I do. But there is little she can say or do to make follow the path she wants me to take. This is my life Becky and although I appreciate advice I will never let anyone control me when I know I'm doing something right. That's just it, nothing more."
She kissed his cheek, "Alright, cool down. Didn't mean to make it sound rude or anything. You're right about it all but there are some things we also can't ignore. Like your mother for a example. We can't be in relationship which she doesn't approve of."
Seth steered her down the stairs, "Just two weeks ago, you were eager for us to have sex," he whispered in her ear, "now you want my mother's approval? Aren't we getting ahead of ourselves here, Mrs, Quinn?"
Her eyes twinkled as they looked at him, "I will choose the sex any day over your mother's approval. I just don't want you to have problems with her because of me."
He kissed the top of her head, "You're not at fault and will never be. My mother and I have our own personal problems and trust me when I say, it has nothing to do with you." They descended the stairs and took the third floor to the library. It had been Seth's least favorite place until he started dating Becky. During lunch they will sneak off to the library, kissing each other as if there was no tomorrow. It was the only place that isn't crowded during lunch. Becky was already a book lover so it was very easy to have the librarian think she was reading a book during the thirty minutes they have kissing and fondling each other. If there was anything suspicious about them always coming together to the library during lunch two weeks in a row, the librarian didn't show it.
The skinny man always smiles sweetly at them and recommend new books for Becky to try. If Becky's disheveled hair and flushed face after their little escapades doesn't get the librarian suspicious about something then Seth was pretty sure the skinny, old man is pretending not to notice.
As he closed the door behind them, the silence that greeted him was enough to assure him there was no one in the library. "All clear," he whispered to Becky before backing her up against the rough wall and crashing his lips on hers.
Becky squealed in delight against his lips. She returned the kiss with the same kind of fervor and passion and a momentarily image of having him beneath her while she rode him flashed through her mind, catching her breath. She wasn't sure why Seth was still insisting for them to take it slow when she showed him each and every time they caressed and kissed that she wanted him. It almost like he was punishing her for something. Working her up in heat and leaving her stranded on a desert afterwards. "Are you sure someone isn't here? I find the librarian's smile suspicious. Almost as if he has set a trap for us and we've walked right into it."
