Anko looked up tiredly and perked up as she saw Aoji. She motioned to a sick looking guy- wait is that Hayate?

The duo started making their way towards Aoji, equally tired.

"Hey girlie. I was talking about you earlier and this dude overheard." Anko pointed her thumb back at Hayate.

He waved tiredly.

"Now that I'm done here, I'll be going." Anko gave a lopsided grin and jumped out of a window. Guess she's feeling better now then. Aoji sighed, how did she even get into these situations.

"Um, can I see the sword?" Hayate sounded a little excited, which probably meant that he was doing the hokey pokey in his head. Aoji remembered that he was a kenjutsu user from the very short amount of screentime he had before he was killed by Baki. Aoji honestly liked him for the time he was there, she related to the tired man on a spiritual level.

Aoji unsheathed the sword and held it out to Hayate. He looked at her like she was stupid. "..what?" Aoji asked, raising an eyebrow. To prove a point, Hayate tried to grab it from her and failed miserably. Oh the sword's heavy.. I forgot.

"You could actually use that as an advantage in combat." Hearth noted.

"Putting it on a toilet would be a really good prank" Hagoromo rubbed his hands together.

Aoji sweatdropped and ignored her mental passengers. "Ah, sorry" she apologized blandly to Hayate, who nodded languidly. She held the sword out to him, letting him admire it. It really was quite pretty, it had a blue tinged blade with a golden handle. It had intricate carvings along the blade that were probably the seals Mito had put on to make it heavy, though Aoji saw a bit that said 'elemental'.

Hayate seemed like he was fangirling with a completely blank face. How he managed to do that, Aoji will never know. After a slightly awkwardly long amount of time with Aoji holding the katana out and Hayate admiring it's every feature, Hayate cleared his throat and straightened, raising his hand for a handshake. Aoji sheathed the sword and grabbed it.

"I'm Hayate Gekko, nice to meet you. I'll be training you in kenjutsu, so as to not put this magnificent katana to waste." Aoji nodded slightly.

"Aoji Uzumaki-Senju, or Senjumaki?" She guessed she would be combining the names so it would be simpler. 'Uzumaki-Senju' was a bit of a mouthful. Hayate nodded sharply in slight surprise, and started walking out of the dango stand, expecting Aoji to follow. She mourned the dango she would have gotten and exited behind him.

Sigh.. Now she was going to be hungry for the rest of the day

Aoji shook her head in sadness. She felt disapproval radiate from Hearth.

Hayate made a few sharp turns, leading Aoji out of the village and to the training grounds. So we're starting right now? I'll probably die..

All these ninja were trained to run and fight at superhuman capabilities, while Aoji failed PE, since she kept sleeping on the bleachers. Hearth might've been right about her having some Nara in her blood..

Hayate entered a seemingly random training ground that was almost completely bare, other than the required targets for shuriken-jutsu and dummies for Taijutsu. Aoji wondered how the Naruto characters could punch it without breaking their fists. Probably Chakra. It was the answer to everything.

The swordsman stopped in the middle of the field, and waited for Aoji, who was already slightly tired from the walk there. Aren't Uzumaki's supposed to have super-stamina or something?
