We are soon far away from The Seriyuu village, the village Shin ah once called his home, and are now walking deep in a large forest to get to a resting spot.
As we all walk packed closely together I notice that Shin ah keeps glancing over in my direction whether it be to look at me, my hand, or something in the distance. I haven't mentioned or said anything to him about what happened back in the cave and I don't ever plan on it.
Though unexpectedly the deep cut on my palm begins to sting and throb, so I bring it up to my chest and hold it there hoping that will stop the pain.
"Care to explain why your hand is wrapped {y/n}?" Hak blurts out of nowhere.
"Oh this?" I look down at my wrapped hand "It's nothing" I stare back at him.
I already know where this conversation is going to go if I tell Hak what happened back in the cave, so I'm going to avoid doing so to the best of my ability. I also don't want to ruin any good chances Shin ah has within the group if I speak about it.
"I'm not stupid {y/n}, I need to know that happened back in the caves" Hak says with a now angrier tone.
"I said it was nothing" I bark, looking down at the ground "don't worry about my hand or what happened, it's over now so it doesn't matter."
Hak grunts and turns around continuing to walk down the long and narrow dirt trail. As long as I avoid talking about my problems then everything will be fine.
'Well that turned out better than expected I guess'
Continuing to walk down the dirt trail together is now awkward thanks to Hak and I's small argument about my hand. I glance around the area to distract myself when I see a well hidden place just a few steps ahead, and that's when Yun spots it as well.
"Looks like this is a good place to rest" Yun says as he stares down at his map.
Now finally in a safe spot to hang out for the night I quickly claim my sleeping spot on the grass which is next to a large tree trunk. Placing what I've been carrying down, I sit and lean against the tree to get some sleep; or at least I try to.
Closing my eyes I let out slow deep breaths trying to relax myself but sadly it doesn't work since the idiots around me won't shut up.
'I guess I won't be sleeping' I open my eyes and look up at the sky.
When I stop gazing into the sky to look around I see Kija carrying lots of wood for Yun, Yona practicing her swordsmanship with Hak, and poor Shin ah sitting by himself while playing with his little squirrel friend.
I begin to feel bad for him since he didn't talk much on the way here, and now he's sitting by himself like he has been for the past many years.
"Hey Shin ah" I call out to him hoping he'll come over to where I sit.
Glancing up slightly he stares at me, not moving a muscle. The only thing I'm capable of doing is staring back at him speechless. Though I can't just stare at him forever and not do anything, and besides, I did call his name in the first place.
"Uhm.. why don't you come sit next to me?" I pat the grass to my right and smile slightly hoping to seem friendly and welcoming.
Shin ah just stares back not moving a muscle and not saying anything. Just sitting. But soon enough, I see him start to stand up from where he was sitting originally and move over to where I pat the grass next to me.
'Shit what do I do now that he's here??'
I can't seem to take my eyes off him as I watch his figure slowly walk towards me.
