As the sun begins to set within the kingdom all of the different shades of pink, orange, and yellow from the sunset fill the walls with small splashes of color. After the talk I had with the king I've decided to be Yona's second protector since I have nothing better to do and it was the kings wish.

It was quite sudden and I wasn't expecting the king to ask me that big of a question, especially since we had first met that day, but if it's something the king expects of me then I'll gladly do it. It's a big responsibility of me to protect the princess but in the end, I'll do anything for her.

Seeing as I'll constantly be here in the kingdom like Hak and around the princess I should go and notify Yona about the sudden change. I wonder how she'll feel about it and I wonder if Hak will be okay with it.

Pushing away all the negative thoughts out of my head I continue to walk down the long halls trying to remember where the hell her room is. As I'm walking around everywhere I'm noticing there is a very low amount, if any at all, of guards stationed around the kingdom.

Not thinking anything of it I finally arrive at Yona's bedroom door. Knocking on the door I ask if I can enter unlike Hak who just barges in unannounced.

"Yes come in" she answers.

Opening the door I walk in and find her sitting in front of her vanity mirror playing with a pink and purple flower hair piece.

"So I had a talk with your dad, the king, earlier today and he wanted me to be your protector second to Hak, I accepted the offer so I thought I should let you know" I explain.

Turning around in her chair to face me she has the biggest smile on her face "I'm happy you accepted because I liked you as soon as you walked through the door when we met" she giggles "and now I'll have someone who's nice to me instead of a bully like Hak" she continues.

"Oh trust me, if anyone's the bully it's me" I wink at her.

She laughs it off and rolls her eyes at me.

Smiling, I tell her good night and walk out of her room shutting the door behind me hoping to find Hak next to tell him about the news. A few minutes of wandering around random areas pass by until I spot a figure sitting on top of a concrete wall staring off into the night sky.

Walking closer to the person, I see it's a large bodied figure with long hair holding a very large stick, which inspected closer, is a glaive. Clarifying it's Hak I start to talk to him.

"Hey Hak I have something to tell you" I call out.

Glancing back he sees that it's me and jumps off the wall to have a proper conversation "{y/n} I thought you went home already, or at least went back to the wind tribe" he says looking confused.

"Well I was actually going home to go home until the king pulled me aside earlier today and asked me to be second to you in protecting Yona since he's heard so much about my fighting skills from you, and I accepted" I tell him with some excitement in my voice.

"Wow that's amazing {y/n} I'm happy for you and now we get to see each other all the time" he says with a sly expression.

"Oh joy~" I pout knowing how much of an ass he's going to be to me.

"Oh and I meant to ask you, have you noticed the lack of guards around here? I obviously haven't been here long but it's questionable to me since I thought there should be more" I ask Hak.

"Yeah I have and I'm getting suspicious" he agrees with me.

Not wanting to stand anymore I climb the concrete wall Hak was sitting on, and make myself comfortable crossing my legs and gazing into the night sky. Letting out a deep sigh I relax seeing how many stars there are which reminds me of the old days, so I try to count them. Losing count too many times to remember I give up on trying to count the countless amount of stars.
