Years had passed since both Miya and Shoto had graduated. The two were now pro-heroes and they had a young daughter named Ayami. The two lived in a small cottage out in the countryside, away from the city as it was stressful to begin with and they needed to be out of the way of the public eye for the most part.

Miya and Shoto were cuddled in bed, Shoto laid under her chin, sound asleep when Miya noticed a gentle orange glow hit her face. She sat up slowly, realising that door was cracked open and Ayami was standing in the hall, "Aya? What's wrong sweetheart?" She whispered quietly, Shoto turning his body away from the light. "I-I had a nightmare... I'm sorry..." She said quietly.
"Don't be sorry, darling. Go back to your room, I'll be there in a minute, okay?" Miya responded gently.
She took Shoto's arms off of her waist and quietly left the room, turning back to check that he was still asleep before gently closing the door.
Miya left the door to Ayami's door cracked open as she laid down next to her, taking her into her arms and began playing with her bubblegum pink hair.

Shoto turned to cuddle back into Miya when he realised that she was missing. He was fully conscious immediately, sitting up in a state of panic, "Miya?"
He stood up, opening the door and walking through the hallway, clearly on the defensive. He then noticed that the door to Ayami's room was left open. When he took a look inside – he found his girlfriend and daughter huddled together, asleep in a bundle of blankets. Shoto leant against the door, smiling as he admired them. He reflected on the past years – to back when he was a child, to when he would cry himself to sleep each night and would constantly think that he would never be happy. He would've never imagined that he would be standing where he was now, and it made him so happy. His eyes filled with tears as he smiled, "Sleep well – my darlings..." Shoto whispered silently.

He decided that today was the day that he would make the move. It was May 1st, also Miya's birthday. Shoto already had to give her some gifts that he'd gotten her, but he also had planned another, bigger surprise.
Shoto walked into the kitchen and grabbed the ring box he had hidden and slipped it behind one of the picture frames on the fireplace. He wrapped the other gifts as slowly and quietly as he could, placing each finished present in front of the fire. He then placed the ring back behind another present, quickly planning the way he would have to present the area in the morning so that she didn't see it. He then moved on to the banners and balloons. Each were different shades of purple – Miya's favourite colour.

All in all, it took Shoto four hours to be set up – since he had to do things slower in order to create less noise. He checked his watch: it was 4am. He sat down on the couch to catch his breath and have a break, and that was when he realised how tired he truly was. He folded his arms and leaned back, closing his eyes and sighing, "I just need a break... that's all... " He murmured to himself and allowing himself to relax – before everything fell silent.

Miya woke up the next morning to Ayami sat beside her, reading a book silently, "Good morning darling... How long have you been up?" "A few minutes... but I didn't want to wake you up. Oh, Happy Birthday, Mommy!" She cried happily, hugging her tightly. Miya sat back in shock – it was the first time Ayami had called her 'Mommy' since she and Shoto had adopted her, "You called me Mommy? Thank you, Aya..." She smiled down at her, "Come on, let's go and see where Sho is, okay?" Miya then took Ayami's hand and walked with her to her and Shoto's room – where she found it empty, "What on earth? Sho?" She called out, slightly panicked. "Let's try downstairs, Mommy!" Ayami called, pulling on her arm excitedly.

They headed downstairs together where they found Shoto: laying on the couch, completely unconscious, "Aw, baby..." Miya whispered, stroking his hair gently out of his face and smiling kindly. "Mommy?" Ayami chimed at a half-whisper. "Yes, darling?" "Can I go play in my playroom until daddy wakes up? Please!" "Of course, you're only across the hall so I'll tell daddy to call you when he wakes up, alright?" Miya said, a bright smile slowly appearing on her face. "Okay! Bye Mommy!" She said cheerfully, skipping down the hallway to her playroom.

Miya watched her leave before turning to face her boyfriend. She grabbed one of the fluffy blankets from the couches and placed it on top of him, then she slipped his body into her arms, "My poor darling – you should have gotten enough rest before you focused on me..." Shoto instinctively took her hand, "...Don't let go of me..." He mumbled quietly, still half-asleep. "I won't dear, I'm not going anywhere..." She chuckled in response, running her hand back and forth along his spine.

Todoroki's eyes fluttered open as he became aware of his surroundings. He found himself in Miya's arms as she flipped through her phone, "...Love..." He whispered, his raspy voice taking Miya by surprise. "Shoto! Good morning darling!" She said, kissing his forehead gently. When she went to pull away, Shoto grabbed her shirt, pulling her back down into a strong kiss, "Happy Birthday my angel..." He murmured gently, causing Miya's cheeks to burn pink. "Hey, I have a little surprise for you... it's Ayami..." She whispered with a small grin. Shoto looked confused, tilting his head to the side. She whispered, "Just... watch this..."

Miya smiled brightly, knowing that this would make his day, "Hey, Aya! He's up!" She called out loudly. They were greeted by Ayami running down the hallway, "Daddy!" She called out, jumping into Shoto's arms. "Did you just... Oh sweetheart..." He said slowly, cuddling her tightly as he relished in his daughter finally calling him her dad. "Mommy, you should open your gifts that Daddy got you! I want to see!" She chimed suddenly from Shoto's embrace. "Alright darling – Sho... do you have any you'd like me to start with?" Shoto smiled at the question, as he realised that she had given him the opportunity to grab the ring and prepare himself, "Yes, I'll get it for you..." He stood up slipping the ring in one hand and the other gift in his hand, "Here you go, darling."

After Miya finished opening her gifts, Shoto gave Ayami a wink. Little did Miya know, Shoto had their seven-year-old daughter involved with his plan to propose, "Mommy, come here – look at this!" She called, having Miya stand with her back to him so that Shoto could get down on one knee and wait until she turned, "Never mind, Mommy – I think I fixed it..." She said with a smile. "Hey... Miya? Turn around for me..." Shoto said, his voice low and velvety. When she did, she was greeted with Shoto knelt with a glistening diamond ring in his hand, "My darling, when I met you... you changed my life for the better. As we entered High School, I began to fall in love with you... You were powerful, beautiful and had a heart of gold. When you accepted my confession – I felt like my world was complete, but... now I want to take this to the next level. So, Miya Gashi – will you marry me?" Miya's heart felt like it had stopped as her eyes filled with tears, "I- Yes! I'll marry you!"

Miya threw her arms around Shoto's neck – crying slightly. "Why is mommy crying?" Ayami asked, putting her arms around the two of them. "She's happy, Candy. You don't have to worry." He explained. 'Candy' was the nickname Shoto gave his daughter – based off of 'Candy Floss' which is the same colour as Ayami's hair. She would always giggle whenever she heard it – which would cause Miya to blush, "I love you two!" She said, taking her daughter into her arms while gently kissing Shoto.
