Shoto had always admired the cute little brunette sitting in front of him in class.
She was perfect to him.
Her notes were always beautifully perfect, and even Shoto's cursive handwriting couldn't compete with her presentation.
She was popular with her classmates - particularly the girls and Bakugou's group. All of them constantly surrounding her - basking in her friendly and positive aura.

Shoto couldn't help but admire literally everything about her.
He wanted to be closer to her. He wanted to be one of her friends. He wanted her. The only problem was that he only knew her name: her name was Miya Gashi.

She was the daughter of the sophisticated parents: Yuki and Hanako Gashi.
Her family was powerful and strong, however, they had passed on after the infamous group: the L.O.V had broke in and killed them.
She was a strong girl. Very strong. She could hold herself well. Despite how nice she was, she didn't take trouble for anyone. Shoto fell in love with that almost instantly.

As usual, he was taking notes while admiring her when Aizawa made an announcement:
"I'm going to be partnering you with one of your classmates. I'll call your name and then your partner's name."
He went along, paring each of the students together, "Miya Gashi. Shoto Todoroki."

His heart lit up when the girl shot him a soft smile. Her eyes matched her smile so well.
"Hey," she began, slipping into the chair beside him at his desk, "I was kinda hoping to be partnered with you if I'm honest."
"May I ask why?" He said with a little smirk.
"Well, I really think that you are perfect to me. I was hoping to learn from you."
She looked at him, the lights of the classroom glowing in her dark eyes.
"Are you serious?" He replied suddenly.
"Yes... why?" She asked with a little bit of fear laced into her voice.
"You are MY definition of perfection. Everything you do I adore. I wanted to learn from you. You could teach me so much." He said, unintentionally reaching to place his hand on her arm.
"Well, maybe we could teach each other?" She smiled back.
"I'd like that."
"Okay! Let's get this done, shall we? If we finish now, it's less work to focus on later."
Shoto smiled, a genuinely bright smile, "Let's do it."

~~~
The two worked hard over the rest of the two hour lecture and actually managed to hand their project in miles before the deadline.
As Shoto went to leave, he felt a light tap on his shoulder, "Hey, Todoroki-Kun? I-"
"Shoto, please. Sorry for interrupting but I'd like you to use my given name, Miss Gashi."
She grinned, "Well then, please call me Miya, Shoto."
He nodded with a smirk, "Anyways, what were you saying?"
"Ah, right. Um, could I maybe drop by your dorm later? I-I'd like to spend some time with you outside of school and get to know you. That's if you'd l-like to..."
"Of course I'd like that. Please, drop by at around four. I'm going to get my homework done first."
"Right. That's what I was thinking! We're on the same page I see." She said with an adorable giggle.
"See you later, Miya-Chan."
"Bye Shoto-Kun!" She called out, running to meet her dorm mates at the door as always.
~~~

A sudden knock at the door pulled Shoto's attention from his book.
"It's open." He called in his firm, slightly aggressive tone out of defence.
"Oh, I'm sorry if I'm a bother to you, Shoto-Kun."
He immediately regretted his tone of voice and jumped up to see her, "Oh gosh Miya I'm so sorry!"
"It's fine!" She said with another laugh.
"You scared me..." He said quietly.

~~~
Miya was trying to teach Shoto to draw a particular piece of art when he suddenly stopped.
"Hey, Miya. May I ask you something?"
She glanced at him from her drawing, "Of course, go ahead."
"Can you... stay here... with me... some days?"
"I mean, of course. However, can you tell me why?" She said nice and calmly. It made him feel safe.
"My dad... can get a little bit intense when I have training for sports and I... don't really want to go back..."
"Shoto. Tell me something honestly," she started at him directly in the eyes, "Is it training? Or is it abuse?"
His chest closed up. She'd caught on. He just burst into tears.
She pulled him into her arms and hugged him tightly, "Oh Shoto. I knew something was wrong. You should've told someone. You should've told me!"
"I was scared!" He sobbed out whilst clinging to her.
"Shush... calm down... I'll stay with you as long as I have to..." She said, tracing circles on his back.
"Why are you doing this for me?"
"You want the truth?" She asked sceptically.
He nodded.
"It's because I love you. I fell in love with you a while ago, but I was intimidated by your power."
He pulled her in with a kiss. Miya could taste his salty tears on her lips.
"Put your head on my lap and relax, I'll handle the rest, okay?"
He complied with a sigh.
"Now close your eyes and focus on my contact, okay? Just relax and breathe."
She gently ran her fingers through his dual-coloured hair.
His eyes fluttered shut and his tense body melted under her hands.
"That's it. Now get some sleep, I love you."
"Mmm... I love you too..." he mumbled.
~~~

Shoto woke up the next morning to his alarm ringing out for his warning for class.
He groaned and turned over to find Miya sound asleep at his side.
She looked so graceful in sleep. She gently brushed his hand against her cheek.
"Hm... It's just a project lesson... I want more rest..." she murmured almost incoherently.
"Is that so? Well, I'll stay by your side while you rest, okay? You've looked after me enough."
She snuggled into his waist and fell back into a deep sleep.

Shoto had found his lover.
He found his one.
