I woke up to Fallon shaking me. I groaned and rolled over.
"Hey, baby sis. Happy birthday." Fallon said. I sat up and saw balloons and banners.
"Did you do all this?" I asked. Fallon pulled a face.
"No, I bought the stuff and Anders put it up." Fallon laughed.
"So this is where the birthday girl was hiding." Josh said standing in the door.
"I thought you had to work for your mom today." I said as he walked over to me.
"Yeah but I'll be finished by about 1 and I'm all packed for our trip to the Barcelona tomorrow." Josh said leaning over and kissing me.
"Culhane's going to pick you up when you're finished and he'll bring your suitcase and bags here and then us, Sam, Steven and I'm not sure if Dad and Cristal are coming. We're going out for dinner." Fallon said kissing my cheek.
"Okay." I said.
"Well I'd better get going. I'll see you later." Josh said.
"See you later." I said. Josh left.
"Anders, had Mrs Gunnerson make your favourite breakfast." Fallon said. I jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs. I backflipped into the dining room and jumped into my chair. Fallon, Steven and Sam laughed at me.
"Shut up, shut up, shut up." I said pointing to each of them.
"Chocolate chip pancakes, blueberries, strawberries, banana and some sausage and bacon. With an iced coffee." Anders said.
"Thank you. Thank you thank you." I said dancing in my seat.
"Your father said that your gift from him and Cristal is in his study on his desk. Here's your mail." Anders said. I looked through the mail and saw an envelope with a small box with the same handwriting. I opened everything other than that letter and box.
"Are you going to open those?" Sam asked.
"Absolutely not. Don't wanna be involved with that person. Screw her." I said.
"Mom?" Fallon asked. I handed her the card and the box.
"You're seriously not going to open it?" Steven asked.
"Why should I?" I asked. "Enough talk about her. It's my birthday and I don't want to waste it talking about things I can't control." I said.
"Hey come to work with me and I'll let you drink." Fallon said.
"I'm down." I said.
"I'm not. Fallon, our sister is 20 she's not drinking." Steven said.
"I've been drinking since I was 15. You know that right?" I said finishing my breakfast.
"Girl when you're legal we're hitting the town." Sam said.
"Definitely Sammy." I said.
"No one calls me that anymore." Sam said. I shrugged.
