I walk in from work, I smelled food and walked to the back, where Kayla was asleep with that damn pillow. This her last two months of being pregnant. But she hasn't talked to me since the hospital, when I declined prayer. The baby been giving Kayla hell, kicking the shit out of her, braxton hicks. I feel bad for my baby, she can't even walk straight. I kiss her cheek. "Quinn." She whines. "Yeah?" I ask. "Cuddle with me?" I smile. I changed my clothes, and laid next to her. I put my arms around her, "Look." Kayla says. "Your baby getting on my nerves Quinn. You can see the little kicks." I lift her shirt, and true enough, her stomach moved a little. I poke where the foot was, it quickly moved. I smile, "Now it stopped." Kayla laughed. We laid in bed watching Netflix and talking. "Quinn, are you gonna let the baby have a baby dedication?" Kayla ask sitting up. "Um..." I say not wanting to talk about anything in religion. "Why though?" I ask. "Prayers for success with the baby Quinn. Where did your faith go?" Kayla ask, I look away, "Kayla, I got anger issues, I prayed about them, they didn't go away. I prayed about our baby before, still passed away. I don't know." Kayla sighs, "You're going to church Sunday. Okay?" I sigh, and just nod.

I woke up at 7:00 for school. I woke Kayla, "I don't want to." She whines. "Baby come on." I groan. She sighs and gets up, I went and showered. Kayla decided to hop her lil ass in with me.
I dressed myself, then Kayla made us something quick. I grabbed her books and mines, leaving out the house, locking the door behind me. As we walked down the hall for the apartment, I decided to ask Kayla about work. "You going to work after school?" I ask. She nods and sighs, "Im too fat for this shit." I kiss her temple, "It's worth it boo. After this year, you won't have to work okay?" She nods and gets in the passeneger of my moms old Rover. We traded cars, I needed something safer.
I walked Kayla to her first period, I kiss her lips. "I'll be out here when class over." She nods. I give her the books and go to class.

"Where you lil girl at!?" She yells, causing attention to come to us. "Armani what the fuck?" I ask. "Nah! I wanna fight that bitch" I shake my head. "Long as Im around, you not putting your hands on my girlfriend. And you clearly see she's pregnant." I snap. "Fuck her! That baby probably ain't even yours!" I just walk away. Bitches.✌

"Boooo!" I pick up Hayden. He starts to cry and stretch his body. I put him back on the floor, he crawls to his daddy. "Hakeem! He's crawling!" I say grabbing my phone to record. "Keep walking back Hakeem." Hakeem keeps taking steps. Until Hayden stops and sits up, crying. "What's wrong?" Hakeem sighs, picking him up. He had a tiny splinter in his hand. "Oh god. Ima put him to sleep before I even try to get it out." Hakeem says walking to the back to the of the apartment. I smile, he such a good daddy.
I send my mom the video, ans she called. "My grandbaby getting so big!" She squeals. I laugh a little. "Yep, you got two others to watch grow up." She laughs, "Yesss! They all gone be spoiled." I laugh a little, "Hayden already is." My mom agreed. I love my mom, I swear. We talked while a cooked, and then she told me she was just coming over.
When she got here, Hakeem came out the room with Hayden. "His splinter is gone. He happy again." Hakeem gives my mom Hayden. "Hi grama baby!" My mom kisses his head. "I bought you something Hayden." My mom goes into her purse. "Look!" She shakes the toy near Hayden's face. It made noise so Hayden fell in love. He started talking in baby talk and playing with the toy. I watched before Hakeem came in the kitchen, he hugs me from behind, "So wassup with me and you when yo mom leave?" He ask in my ear. I felt his hand run over my cat, I giggle, "Yall nasty asl!" My mom laughs. Hakeem takes his hand out, then smiles at my mom. "Sorry." He laughs. "Yalls house. But not in front of me. Or the baby." My mom says sternly. Hakeem nods.
