David was awoken by the light coming from his window, but it didn't bother him, it just reminded him that he could see. He shifted slightly, which brought his attention to the soft pressure of an arm wrapping around his waist. He smiled and gently turned over to admire his beautiful and still sleeping, soulmate.

David lied there for god-knows how long just taking in all of Tyler's peaceful features, from his slightly tangled brown hair to the slight scruff on his jaw. Everything about him just so perfect to David.

Tyler started to stir, and David's smile just widened when he saw those beautiful ocean blue eyes. Tyler smiled too.

"Hey, beautiful," Tyler whispered as he gently caressed David's cheek. David slightly leaned into the touch.

"Morning," David whispered back lovingly.

They stayed in there, gazing into each other eyes, just slowly falling more in love. However, their peaceful silence was quickly interrupted by the chorus of muffled laughter which could only come from their friends, who, apparently, don't care who is sleeping in the house.

"Ready to get up and see everyone?" Tyler asked giddily. David's smile matched his as they both got up. Neither got dressed, they were in t-shirts and sweatpants, who would want to change?

Right before they walked out of David's door, however, David hesitated, but Tyler quickly grabbed his hand in reassurance. With one last glance at each other, Tyler opened the door, and they stepped out.

This was it. David was finally going to see what his life-long best friend looked like as well as his newly found friends.

Tyler slowly led David to the front room, where they heard all of their friends chatting and laughing. When they turned the corner, David froze, slowly looking around from one person to the next not exactly sure who is who.

"Aye, they're finally up!" shouted an extremely familiar voice, and David started to tear up at the sight of the bright smile the person held.

"Evan?" David muttered as a single tear ran down his cheek, but never the less, a relieved and happy smile had placed itself on his lips.

"Yeah?" Evan asked concernedly, why was David crying? "David, are you okay?"

"So that's what you look like," David whispered. Evan's eyes went wide and a gasp of shock left his lips. He then quickly ran over to David, giving him the biggest hug he could. The two swayed a bit, cheerfully, and tearfully, laughing as tears of joy fell down their faces.

When they pulled away, David was quickly drawn into another hug, but by someone different.

"Wow, you can see!" the person shouted after the pulled apart, and David knew just who it was. Jon.

"How?!" Brock asked, shocked yet happy, the same as everyone else in the room. Everyone eventually hugged David and let him look at them a bit before everyone sat down, David making sure he sat close to Tyler.

"Okay buddy, explanation time," Evan teased, wiping his eyes and laughing as Jon nudged him.

"Well, after you all left last night, Tyler showed up an-"

"Wait! NO WAY!" Scotty screamed excitingly, nearly jumping up and down in his spot. "Tyler! Are you really his-" Scotty couldn't even finish his sentence, he was too shocked by his discovery.

"Yes," Tyler confirmed, grabbing David's hand and giving it a loving squeeze. "David is my soulmate, and we figured that out very quickly last night when I caught him after he tripped." Tyler looked over to David and nudged him a little, both smiling.

"Yep!" David said excitingly.

The rest of the day was spent with David learning about everything he didn't have to learn about when he was blind, and he was okay with this. Especially because Tyler got to teach him these things.

And David couldn't wait for Tyler to teach everything else about this beautiful new thing called life.
