Chapter 4: Meet At Last

After flying on a boulder, I finally arrive at the T shaped tower. I land on the island and sees a girl in a cloak look at me from above in a window. I recognize her to be Rachel Roth. Or Raven as she prefers to be called.

I see the doors open a few feet in front of me. Before I knew I'm face to face to the leader of the group. Dick Grayson. Or as he is called, Robin.

"who are you?" Robin asked as he stared at me with a raised eyebrow.

I set my bag down and sigh "I was wondering if I could join your team... My name is Sapphire. I've admired you guys for so long. I've finally got the courage to come here.." I look away "I understand if you say no.." I was a good liar. And from what I could tell. He didn't suspect a thing.

Robin looked at me as he thought  "what exactly can you do?" he asked looking me in the eyes

I look back at him and lit my hand on fire "well I can do this along with controlling rocks.. I can also heal anyone who is in need" I let the fire covering my hand disappear.

Robin nods "interesting..." he thought some more and made his decision "fine. I'll let you join. Do you have a super suit?"

I smile and nod "yes sir. It's in my bag" I picked up my bag.

Robin nods again "good. Let's go inside. I'll introduce you to everyone and show you to your room" he lead me into the elevator.

I trail behind him and enter inside happily. I kept holding onto the bag as I stood near him. I watch him press the button and the doors close. I then felt the elevator start to move up. "thanks for giving me a chance" I say with a soft smile.

Robin smiled softly "it's no problem. You seem like a fit candidate" the elevator stopped and he lead me out

As I walked out behind him, I saw the cloaked girl look at me up and down

"Robin...did you seriously just let a stranger inside?" Raven asked in a monotone voice

I kept quiet as I didn't want to make things worse

"Raven I'm giving her a chance to join. This is Sapphire" Robin says smiling at Raven

Raven just rolled her eyes "whatever.." she began walking to a room

"sorry about that. She always acts like that" Robin says turning to me

I smile softly "it's ok. I understand"

Robin nods and starts introducing me to Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Starfire. I then was led into my room and left to unpack
