Sorry this is two days late.  I planned on having it up Sunday night but I was to distracted watching SNL reruns.  Then on Monday all my teachers decided to throw homework at me.  So, long story short, today was the day I finally got time to write and BOY DID I WRITE!

Photo on the side is a picture of Kadence's bag.  You'll understand once you read the chapter.  Isn't it gorgeous!

I'd love to know what you think of Kadence so far, let me know?  I hope you guys enjoy! (: xoxo

“I’ve come to the conclusion,” Gemma says from the bathroom stall, “that American boys are much ruder than English boys.”

I roll my eyes in the dirty mirror and reapply my lipstick.  “Well, welcome to New York, babe.”

She laughs, flushes the toilet and walks out of the stall.  I hand her my makeup bag and run my fingers through my hair, attempting to get the tangles out from the winter winds outside.

“You should come with me back to London over February break,” Gemma offers, “I bet you’d be a hit over there.  They have a thing for American girls, especially the hot ones.”

I sigh, “By the way Christmas break went, I might just take you up on that offer.”

Out of the corner of my eye I see her frown at my words in the mirror.

With a small shake of her head, she smiles again.  “You know, MAC’s Pretty Please really is my color,” Gemma says while puckering her lips at her reflection.

The warning bell rings and I gather my things together, throwing them into my Louis Vuitton Monogram Rayures Neverfull bag, a Christmas gift straight from mom.

“One thing I will admit,” Gemma says while rubbing invisible lipstick from her front teeth.  She grabs her bag and gives her hair one last fluff, “American boys do have much nicer teeth.”

I let out a small laugh and open the bathroom door.  “Come on Victoria Beckham, you’re going to be late for Calculus.”

“Don’t remind me,” she mutters.

We part our ways, Gemma goes to the right towards Calculus while I take a left, heading towards English, the last class of the day, thankfully.  It’s the first day back from Christmas break, the sooner it’s over, the sooner the talk of the holidays ends.

I walk into English sparing myself two seconds and sit down in the first empty seat I see, which sadly is the only empty seat that is right in the center of the room.

The bell rings just as Mrs. Farrell closes the classroom door.  She turns and faces us for a second before she sighs and takes a seat at her desk.

“I hope you all had a wonderful break,” she says, “I know we were supposed to start on our next chapter today but honestly, I’m just too tired to start and I’m sure all of you are too.”

She opens her desk drawer and pulls out a copy of People magazine.  “It’s ninth period, we have forty minutes until we all get to go home.  Do as you please, English is canceled for today.”  And with that, she opens her magazine.

I furrow my eyebrows, shrug my shoulders, and pull out my iPhone 5, a complementary gift from my dad for Christmas.

“How was your break, Kadence?”

I look to my left to see Thayer Knight occupying the desk next to me.  Fantastic.

I turn back to my phone so I don’t have to make eye contact with him.  “Worse than yours.”
