The car ride home was quiet, but not an awkward quiet, it was a comfortable quiet. There were still things I wanted to ask or say to him, but the silence was pleasant. We rolled into my driveway, and Grayson shifted the car in park. He climbed out and walked over to my side of the car and opened the door.
"Here, put your arm around me." Grayson speaks softly. I do what he says and I wince at the pain that shot up my hip. He picked me up bridal style, but I leaned over to help slam my door shut. He carried me up to my front door and I pushed to open it but remembered it was locked.
"My keys are in my pocket" I tell him.
"Which one"
"My front left Jean pocket."
Grayson, without warning. Shoves his hand in my pocket and gets my key. I yelped at his action, which he seemed to find amusing.
"Easy..." He said laughing
"Sorry." I mumbled.
He tried to put the key in the lock multiple times, and his angry facial expression was kind of amusing for how frustrated he was getting over a simple task. He finally got the door open and carried me inside. He walked into my living room and sat me on the couch.
"Want me to get you any water or anything?"
"No. I'm fine." I mumbled.
We gazed into each other's eyes for a couple seconds until he broke the connection and walked towards my kitchen. I watched as he found a bag and put ice into it. He walked over to me and gave me the bag.
"Here. Keep this on your hip." He spoke softly.
My parents still weren't home yet, and I started to feel very anxious. I looked around my house and the memories started flooding back. The way he broke into my house and basically kidnapped me. He forced me into his car and made me go out with him. I started to feel uncomfortable again. There's no way he just changed within an hour. I made myself remember that he is still the aggressive jerk that I know. I can't get hurt.
"Do you need anything else?" He snapped me out of my thoughts.
"No," I said sharply, not meaning to.
His brow furrowed into confusion and then anger. He took a deep breathe and started to walk away, but quickly turned back and approached me.
"What is wrong with you?"
"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you?!"
"I don't know but what I do know is that I just saved your ass from being killed!"
"Maybe that wouldn't have happened if YOU DIDNT FORCE ME TO GO OUT TO DINNER WITH YOU!"
"You will be seeing me around, Madison. You're going to like me whether you like it or not." He turns around and continues to walk towards the door. No way is he going to treat me like he can control me. He. Won't. Win. I burst out with every little emotion I had in the pit of my stomach:
"Oh yeah? Well it's going to be pretty fucking hard to like an asshole like you!"
He turns around slowly at the comment I just let slip. I tried to look tough, but the way his jaw clenched was unsettling. I didn't feel safe anymore. He charges at me, angrily, and I flinch. He grabbed my face and forced me to look at him. His eyes were black. All of a sudden his lips crashed into mine, and I kissed him back. I don't know what was going through my mind, but I kissed him back hard. His strong arms had me Locked up against him. I finally realized what was happening, and I shoved him off of me. I was pissed. How dare he kiss me.
"What the fuck?!"
"You'll regret talking back to me, babe. I'd keep your eyes open because I always win. And I want you." He holds eye contact and then turns around and leaves. I hear the door slam, and tense up from how hard he slammed it. I was in shock from what happened in the last 10 minutes.
I always win. And I want you
Those words ringing at the back of my head.
What the hell am I going to do.
