🦍 YEAR 2019 - AGE 29 / 15BUNNY got up, stretching, adjusting the jean shorts she was wearing. She laused for a moment, glancing at the 'boy' beside her. "Should I be wearing black?" She pondered, looking at her brightly coloured outfit. Although she had very little respect for the man she called father she still had basic decency.
"Probably but we don't want to keep the others waiting, he might combust if we do." Five noted as he also got up, he eyed her up and down, his eyes lingering on her exposed legs slightly before shaking his head. Delores would scold him if she say him right now Five thought. He then looked at her face, the soft cheery features has morphed into one of guilt for her outfit choice. Sighing the boy took off his blazer, holding it out for her.
"Rosie." She was still looking down at her feet, "Rosie." He spoke louder putting a hand on her shoulder. She shot her head up and saw his concerned face before looking at the blazer. Her eyes softened at his kindness, the others never saw this side of Five. Only Bunny did. She took the blazer putting it on, it snuggly covering her frame. The scent from the blazer intoxicating her, a mix of alcohol, coffee and cologne swarmed her senses. She was so distracted by the comfort she didnt notice Five staring at her.
Said boy felt so comfortable in her presence yet an overwhelming fear washed over his body. Memories hit his subconscious awakening a resounding dread. He remembered seeing her body, fragile, broken, her hand holding onto his old blazer. She wanted something of his when she died. The girl he admired would die if he didn't do anything, he gripped the eye in his shorts pocket tightly, he will save her.
The two trapped in bodies of mere children were too caught up in their own worlds absorbed with thoughts of the other they had forgotten about the funeral. That was until a certain intoxicated member yelled to them, "ONCE YOU TWO HAVE FINISHED MAKING UP OR OUT DONT FORGET WE HAVE A DAD SCATTER!"
Five and Bunny looked at each other. "Shit." They headed out to the courtyard. Each of their siblings staring at Pogo, who held the earn. The siblings quiet resentment bubbling.
Klaus eyed the fact that Bunny was wearing Five's blazer and chuckled. She shuffled under a shared umbrella with Diego, who in term handed it her.
Grace, their Mom, looked at the siblings confused. "Did something happen?" Her soft and gentle voice mixed with confusion broke the siblings hearts. They knew she wasn't human yet something about her felt so humane.
"Dad died, remember?" Diego put it softly to her. He was always the closest to Mom. She was the reason he didn't stammer as much or at all nowadays. Allison frowned looking at the knife welding man, "Is Mom okay?"
"Yeah, she's fine. Just needs recharging." It didn't seem like he was reassuring Allison though, to Bunny it was obvious he was reassuring himself.
Pogo cleared his throat handed number one the earn to Luther, "Whenever you are ready, dear boy." The giant man opened and emptied the small object. Even more sad was the chunk they came out in, the lack of wind meaning the sad man's remains were just as stubborn as his alive self. She would've let out a snort if she hadnt noticed her internal drumbeat altering. This wasn't good.
Pogo spoke, "Would anyone like to speak?"
One shuffled but kept quiet.
Two rolled his eyes.
Three hugged herself.
Four inhaled the cigarette smoke.
Five played with the eyeball.
Six wouldnt want to speak even if he could.
Seven didnt think it was right.
Eight was too busy trying to pinpoint drumbeat.
