Davina, Corbin, and Adrastos

She was laughing with some boy. I saw how her eyes spark when looking at him and twinkles when she spoke. I saw how she looked that man full of adoration.

I smiled bitterly I saw that look. It was me. It should be me she was talking and smiling to. But now...

I shook my head as watch them having fun. She didn't even notice that I am watching her. From afar.

The boy's hand went to her hand and she didn't mind at all. Fuck, what happened to the shy and conservative Davina I know? It is because of me? Did I change her that day? Fucking shit.

I immediately stand up when her skirt got wet because of the spilled water. I want to run to her and help her but I stopped myself. She'll be shocked when she saw me. I know.

My angry boosted when the boy he's with is putting his hands on her skirt. Wiping away those water. I thought Davina will be mad at him but she smiled. She. Just. Smiled. Fuck. I can't take it.

I walked in their direction as fast as I could. Not thinking straight about what should I do or say. I just stood there in front of their table.

She glanced at my way and make a face. She looked shocked at my sudden appearance. It's been years since we last saw each other. The day when I confronted her and said that I'll stop courting her. I didn't like her aryt, I'm just challenged by her and when I found someone, I stopped courting her. Yes, I'm bad. I drop her like a hot potato. I've been guilty of what I did to her so when I saw her yesterday I planned out everything. I want to do the right thing. I want to say sorry to her even if it's late. I want to correct my mistakes.

We're just staring at each other for a sec but when the boy she's with spoke she broke our eye contact.

A sudden feeling hits me when she did that. I feel like there's an invisible barrier between us.

"Dav, do you know him?" he asked her. The confusion was all over the jerk's face.

I waited for her to say yes but she just shook her head ang shrugged.

"I don't" she sternly said while looking at him. She didn't glance at me.

Thousands of needles struck right through my heart when I heard those words. It hurts. Big time.

They got up and leave me hanging.

I laughed bitterly as if I'm just dreaming. As if it is just a dream. A dream so I could wake up. But it's not.

Maybe this is the punishment I've been waiting for? She neglected me and never looked back like I don't even exist. Oh, Davina, I'm so sorry. Forgive me. I love you.
