Ken together with Vanessa, Sekani and Ariana went to Outer Banks to visit Yuvraj that weekend. He'd regained consciousness and Padma was with him...

Padma, the woman had aged unlike how she was before. Her face gave off her sorrow, watching her son lying bedridden on the bed.

"Oh you guys are here." Padma went to hug Vanessa as she came inside the room with Ken, the kids were at Vanessa's house.

"What really happened?" Ken asked her. He might hate Yuvraj's gut but he's for sure sad about what happened to her. No normally sane person will be sad at another's downfall.

"He'd an accident the doctor said." She told them as her voice gave away pain and sorrow.

"How's he doing? Has there been any conclusion on his health?" Ken asked her. Vanessa was too sad and shocked to utter a word.

She wanted Yuvraj to pay for what he did to her, but she never wanted him like this.

"He broke his cord," Padma cried. "The doctor said he broke his cord and there's absolutely no chance of him using his legs anymore, my son's going to be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life." She cried. Hurt filled her eyes as she told them, she partially blamed herself.

If she'd tried to make him know the consequences of what he was doing, if she'd drew him closer enough to admonish him, he wouldn't have been this way. She totally blamed herself.

"Mom, he's going to be alright okay, he's going to do well." Vanessa managed to say, she felt Padma's pain.

"I'll refer him to a very good physiotherapist I know, he will be able to help Yuvraj get back on his feet." Ken suggested.

"These doctors can do him no good, they'll only make matters worse. A professional and good physiotherapist will do the work perfectly well. Stop crying now ma, and remember that none of this is your fault." Ken added.

For the little he'd come to know about Padma, he figured she likes blaming herself for almost everything.

"You tried your best ma, you exceeded the expectations of a mother and I applaud you for that. Don't blame yourself if things don't go as expected." He pulled her close and hugged her.

Padma was one of the best mothers he'd met, after Vanessa. She took care of Vanessa and helped her get back on her feet after her son almost ruined her life. Someone like his own mom, would have supported her son if she were to be in Padma's shoes. He knew his ma so well, but for Padma, she was a rare gem.

She fought hard for Vanessa to make sure she was free from Yuvraj's torture, made her into believing that other good men were out there and she shouldn't lose hope.

He wished every mother would just be like Padma, he really wished.

When Yuvraj woke up, he was surprised to see Vanessa and Padma beside him.

He'd told his mom he wanted to see her but he never knew she would agree to come after all what he did to her.

"Ma.." He called and both of the women turned to him. "Yuvy, you're awake." Padma said to him, her voice was concern filled.

It hurt him so much he'd to put her through a lot of trouble in his life time, she'd aged with his troubles.

"Ma..." He managed to say again, his throat was dry and croaky, he needed water so bad.
