Opening Acts: Part 1

Shawn's p.o.v:
I recently was asked to be an opening act on a tour for some guy named Austin Mahone. As my career is growing, I take the opportunity. Yes, I am young but hey, I'm making it work. It's exciting for me, just starting out my career, posting on YouTube and vine, and already getting asked to be an opening act. The fans are amazing, always hype me up whenever I post something new. Luckily, I also have a very supportive family, which I could not be more thankful for. My mom, Karen, my dad, Manuel, and my younger sister, Aaliyah. They always encourage me, and sometimes travel with me. I mean, one parent always travels with me, sometimes one stays behind because Aaliyah has school. For me, I chose to continue high school online, so I can chase my dreams.

"Shawn! Austin's team emailed the dates and other opening acts for the tour!" my mom yelled from the living room. I quickly run down, I can't wait to see who I'll be performing with, and where I'll be going.

"I'm here! Let's see what it says!"

Hi everyone,

I wanted to thank you all for agreeing to come on this tour with me. I can't wait to meet you and to see y'all perform! Below are the dates you will be joining me for, and of course, the locations.

February 26th- Madison Square Garden, NY
February 28th- Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
March 3rd- Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
March 6th- Capital One Arena, Washington, D.C.
March 10th- American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX
March 12th- AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
March 15th- Amway Center, Orlando, FL
March 16th- American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL
March 23rd- Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, TN

I know some dates are closer together than I would like, I tried to put them farther so we can have time to travel, and relax. February 24th, I have flights for everyone organized to come to NY, and 25th will be practicing if you want, and sound checks. We will do a final sound check before the show, it's just to get a main idea what the sound will be for the tour. Below are the opening acts for the tour.

By now, my whole family has gathered around. They also wanted to see where the tour was and who the other opening acts were. Me, wanting to have fun and be able to make conversation, get familiar with the others music. First, I look up The Vamps. Not bad, they're good, just not 100% my kind of everyday music. Next, Fifth Harmony. They're more my type of music, and I've heard them a few times in the mall, not realizing it was them. Aaliyah comes up to my room and says, "Fifth Harmony, right?" I say yes, wondering why she asked that. I mean, she could've just as easily said The Vamps. She just replied with "oh, I listen to them a lot. My favourite is Camila for sure." before walking out. I wonder, and look her up. Hopefully she's not trying to say Camila is a potential girlfriend, cause she knows how bad my love life is. I always let people slip away. And anyways, most stuff that comes up is about her and Fifth Harmony, a new song, this or that interview. Having no clue who anyone is, I realize I should at least learn who's who. Eventually, I figure everyone out. For Aaliyah, I go back to find her, and tell her who Camila is, one, to see her reaction and two, if I can say who she is, I can maybe find out her motive.

"Hey Aaliyah" I say, poking my head in her room. "Camila is the one with long curly brown hair, right?"

"Hmhmm, pretty right!"
