I woke up with the sound of a loud bang. This instantly made me jump out of fear. The sounds were coming from the man in pain upstairs. Why was he crying out? I didn't care for the answer as I heard more footsteps upstairs.
This was my chance.... My chance to get out of this hell hole.... I screamed at the top of my lungs. " Yo someone is downstairs! Get X quick!" I heard a man yell followed by the basement door unlocking and opening.
Footsteps sounded and a man appeared at the bottom of the steps looking at my exposed body. " This nigga is sick." He said as he untied me careful not to touch my areas.
"Here put this on." He said handing me his jacket which I quickly took. When I was fully covered I heard more footsteps from the stairs making me hide in my usual spot. Tears poured down my cheeks afraid of the many men in the room.
"What happened vro?" Another males voice sounded close to where I was hiding. "Jah don't freak out but that dirty nigga had a girl locked in here." The jacket man said. I decided to call him that just cause he gave me his jacket.
"Well where is she?" The other voice said. Suddenly I saw one of there feet cross to my hiding spot opening and I screamed in fear. "what the fuck?" Said the man in front of me before he squated down looking me in my eyes.
"How long you think she's been here?" He asked looking away from me. "Who knows she could have been here for years." Jacket man said. The man in front of me had two tone hair one side black the other side yellow.
I decided to call him bumblebee just cause of his hair color. He looked at me again his face full of worry,anger and concern. "You can come out don't worry we won't hurt you we want to help you." He said reassuringly.
Something inside me told me that it was ok to trust him. But I still had my doubts. I inched closer to him slowly. "Jah you know you can move this right" Someone else said. Suddenly the HS began to move and was pulled away from me making me panic.
I jumped up and tried to climb the board on the wall which just so happens to be my second HS. "Coolie you fucking idiot why the fuck would you do that!!!" Bumblebee yelled at the man named coolie.
I began to cry again hearing the raised voices. They all looked at me. "Everyone out now" Bumblebee said and as they all left he turned back to me. "Look there gone now come down ok I don't want you to hurt yourself." He said to me in a calm tone.
Slowly I listened as he watched me not daring to come close. When I was safely back on the ground he spoke again. "Your going to be coming with me ok and I promise you no one will hurt you." He said. I was happy to finally be able to get out of here so I ran up the stairs and out the door.
I heard commotion coming from inside the house. When I stopped and turned around all the boys were running after me. I froze scared they would try to hurt me if I ran. Bumblebee noticed that and put his arms out to stop the boys. "Look please don't run ok we want to help you. Come with us we will take you home with us just please don't run."
Bumblebee sounded more concerned now. I gave in and walked slowly toward him. I was still nervous and jumped away when he tried to touch me. "I'm sorry I should have never tried to touch you. Get in the car please." He said. I got in there car and we drove off. I was in the back and bumblebee was sitting with me but farthest from me.
"Let's go to my crib ya" he said to jacket man. "Aii bet vro" jacket man replied. We drove by houses and alot of trees. I kept looking at bumblebee to make sure he didn't get closer to me. I think he noticed and put his head back and closed his eyes.
I knew that a new life awaits me at this new place. I just hoped that it would be a good thing. I looked at bumblebee as I heard his soft breathing indicating that he was asleep. A feeling I never felt before filled me inside. For the first time I felt....Safe.....
