The next morning
Cocos POV
I woke up and called in sick from work. I dressed Cailey for school and we were on the way to her school
"Mommy why do you have crutches" Cailey asked
"I got hurt"
"By doing what"
"Trusting people"
"That doesn't hurt" Cailey said smiling
"It does if you trust the wrong people" I said
I dropped Cailey of inside and went to the shoppers and picked up get well soon balloons a heart-shaped pillow and a card.
At the hospital
I walked straight to the room before I asked the lady what room he was in. I already knew. When I walked in he was watching tv and eating soup.
"Hey" I said closing the door
"Hey"
"You feel better" I sat on the side of the bed
"A little" he put the soup on the table next to him and tried to sit up. He kept wincing
"Do you need help" I asked
"No I got it" he said pushing up on his arms
"Btw thanks for saving me" he said
"If it wasn't for me you wouldn't need me to save you"
"Nothing was your fault" he said
I put my crutches on the side of the bed and laid down next to him
"I guess" I said looking down
and laid on his shoulder and he wrapped his arms around me. I lifted his shirt up to look at his scar.
It was long red and brown With stitches. tear rolled down my cheek.
"I'm sorry" I said in a quiet voice"
He wiped my tear "Don't be"
Caileys POV
"Ms. Johnson why isn't raven here" I asked
"She's having trouble at home" mrs. Johnson said in a way I would understand
"When is she coming back"
"I don't know hopefully soon.... Go to your seat were about to start our song"
Everybody was in there assigned seats. I looked to my left and the desk next to me. It was empty I sighed. All of a sudden the doors opened it was a little boy. I've never seen him before.
"Class say hi to teddy he's our new student" ms Johnson Said
"Hi teddy" the class said
"Hi" teddy said
"You can go sit by Cailey teddy" ms. Johnson said. Teddy came over to sit by me. I didn't want to make a new friend I missed raven I looked down at my desk
"Hi" teddy said. I didn't say anything to him
"Do you want to share lunches" teddy asked
I looked up
"I have peanut butter and jelly" he said
"Yea I would love to" I said. He gave me a piece of his sandwich. I think I found my new Best friend
