Chapter 25: The intense baseball battle!

Taki's P.O.V

"Taki! Tanaka! That's enough!" Me and Tanaka turned to see Daichi with the others. The girls was left in the benches with, i suppose, is Akaashi and Bokuto.

"You two took so long that we rushed to find you two and we were meeted with this? Seriously? Taki, i didn't knew that you were rebellious." Sugawara shaked his head in disbelief.

"B-But--!!" Tanaka was about to talk back when Nishinoya shake his head.

"I'm disappointed in you, Ryu."

"Eh?! Like you're one to talk!" Tanaka shouted but was stopped when we saw small tears in Nishinoya's eyes." N-Noya??"

"You were protecting Taki from those guys! But you still let Taki scare them! I am very disappointed. You're not as manly as i thought you were."

We all sweatdrop at his words." Anyway! Care to explain, Taki-chan?" Sugawara said with a smile but a very intimidating aura. A shiver ran down my spine.

"Errr.. He...uh..." I started to stutter as my sight traveled to the delinquent looking guy. I smirked as i fake a frown and pouted at Sugawara and pointed at the delinquent looking guy named Jun." He called me a brat!" I whined and faced the guy. My frown turned to a mischievous smirk causing his team mates to flinch.

A dark aura coming from Tobio-nii, Kei, and Sugawara scared the baseball team." You called her a what?" the three said in unison. And i tell you, it was scary af.

Their captain walk up and bowed." Sorry about my team mate's personality. I hope you forgive him cause he is already like that." He said and stopped bowing before facing me." I apologize on the behalf of Jun. I won't let him call you a brat anymore." He said and gave 'Jun' a side glance before looking back at me.

I smiled and nodded but it turned to a frown. I faced Jun and sighed." I apologize too. I did hitted you in the head and let Tanaka-senpai and Eijun to threaten you. Hope you forgive me as well." I said and bowed to him.

"Aw hell nah! He called cutie-chan a brat and we're just gonna let that through?!" Kuroo-senpai said and marched beside me. I sweatdrop.

"Oi. Why do you act more of her boyfriend than i am, Kuroo-san?" Kei walked up on my other side with his usual frown but once his eyes landed on the guy who called me a brat, his frown turned to a glare with a smirk." But i can't ague with you. It is irritating that this delinquent guy called my girlfriend a brat. I can't let that through either."

"Alright! Enough already! We already apologized with each other so don't make it worse or i'll slap you!" I threaten at the two and pushed them back beside the others.

"Th-Th-They're tall!" I side glanced at Hinata who was trembling at the sight of the tall players. Even Asahi was.

"Ora! Tobio! Its been a while!" Eijun greeted Tobio-nii with a slap on the back. Tobio-nii lets out a groan and just nodded as a greeting.

"So this is your childhood friends?"

The guy with dark green hair stood up and looked at me and Tobio-nii." Yeah! You see Tobio here is a very talented guy in volleyball! He's a prodigy in volleyball along with Taki! But! Taki is more of an athletic girl! She can easily beat us for a first try!" Eijun said feeling proud for me and Tobio-nii. I sweat drop and chuckled.

"Oh wow, you're prouder than our parents." I said sarcastically before facing the baseball team." Don't you guys have a game today?" I said and tilted my head.

The game has started and the we were back at the bench. The first inning was to their opponent, Yakushi Highschool, batting first. I took out some papers and saw that the first one to pitch was Furuya Satori. Another Tobio-nii lookalike.

"Ne, ne. The pitcher looks like Kageyama!" Nishinoya said and pointed at the pitcher and to Kageyama. I lightly laughed and focused back in the game.

The first batter has walked up. I looked up his number in the paper that i was holding." Todoroki Raichi." I said and looked back at the game. I had a bad feeling about this.

Furuya pitched and i had goosebumps to how strong that throw was. As it continues, Raichi faces Furuya and manages to get a double. The next batter hits a single allowing Raichi to score and give Yakushi a 1-0 lead.

"Those two are insanely strong." Daichi said as the others were speechless.

"Hey hey hey!! My spikes are more strong than that!" We just ignored Bokuto making him pout but Akaashi comforted him.

Miyuki, whom i supposed was the catcher, says something to Furuya and pointed around the fielders and i quickly knew that Miyuki was telling Furuya that he has reliable teammates behind him, and after a marvelous caught steal on Yakushi, Miyuki gives Seidou the confidence it needs.

Seidou responds in the bottom of the first, and thanks to a 2-run homer by Masuko, Seidou takes a 3-1 lead. I glanced at the opponents dug out and saw the coach talking to Raichi and someone who was a towel drapped in his head. I have a bad feeling.

Furuya comes up to bat in the 7-spot and hits a solo homerun to make it 4-1 in the top of the 3rd.

We gawk at how he made that homerun." What a monster." I mumbled.

In the bottom of the third inning, Eijun was the pitcher while Furuya moves out to left field. At first Eijun pitches the ball straight down the middle. Eijun is able to trick Raichi and get him behind with some outside pitches into a 1-2 count. Then, Eijun unleashes his 4-seam fastball to the inside and gets Raichi to pop out.

"Wow!" Hinata awed at Eijun's pitch."What's that pitch called?" He faced me.

"4-seam fastball. Its cool." i replied.

As Seidou comes to bat in the top of the fourth a double from the captain gives them a 5-1 lead. Suddenly, Raizou Todoroki, the coach, calls for a pitcher change and brings in Sanada.

"Whew. This game is getting intense!" Kuroo-senpai said and smirked. I still frowned but proud that Eijun was more powerful than the last time but...i still can't remove the feeling once Sanada guy came up to pitch.
