Chapter 34: Practice Time pt.2

"AAAAHHHH THIS IS GETTING MORE TIRIINGGGG!!" Akira, Yuuzuna, and (Y/n) whined, all almost dropping their instruments.

Some of you still don't know right? The instruments their using and their positions in the play?

Akira -  Drums

Yuuzuna - background electric guitar

(Y/n) - Bass

Ayumi - Piano

Hayano - Keyboard Guitar

Taki - Lead electric guitar

Yep, that's that and they have been practicing 5 days straight. Just 2 more days till the performance day. I just chuckled at their whinings and looked down at my electric guitar. The last song is me playing the piano. I stood up and walk up to Ayumi to borrow the piano but she must've known and left the piano to me. I gave her a smile which she returned.

I started to press on the keys creating the familiar song." How many times i hear it... It never fail to amaze me..." (Y/n) said and closed her eyes, relaxing to the song.

"I completely agree!"

I stopped playing and faced them." Hey, i just wanted to remind you that you shouldn't push yourself too much in this, either we win or not, it's important to enjoy it." They all smiled at my words and all gave a thumbs up.

"Of course we will!"

"Okay, its all planned now right? The songs that we'll sing." I asked and stood up. Ayumi nodded and recited the songs.

"First is, (random favorite songs. Yes, you all will pick 5 different songs. It's supposed to be a group and band kind of style. Either its in your language, other languages or preferably japanese. I'm in charge of the last song) then the last song is what Taki is going to sing solo. But i'm still wondering why you used a sad song." Ayumi wondered, giving a glance at me.

"What's wrong with singing *Kokoronashi?"

*Kokoronashi isn't made or sang by me. I'm just gonna borrow it for the sake if the story. If you don't know that song, please listen to it! It's a very VERY good song!

"It's not wrong, its just so sad. You will really end the performance with a sad one?" Hayano stated. I looked down on my feet and started to think.

"I have another one but it doesn't have any lyrics. I always sing this but in a 'lala' way. And there are two days left..." I said out loud." How can i still change it?"

Maybe agreeing to this wasn't a good idea. I'm starting to get anxious, not wanting to embarrass my friends in front of a crowd! I don't think i can back down now, its almost the battle! They were right! Principal Saotome said that the Starish will perform first and ending all of it with a sad song is kinda wrong. What should i do??? If i knew this was gonna happen then i should've declined his offer! Shit! What should i do---

"Then we're gonna help you! Let's write the last song!" A voice cutted my train of thoughts. I looked up and saw (y/n) with a cute and comforting smile on her face.

"Oooohhh!! Nice nice!! Let's go with that!!!" Yuuzuna shouted and started jumping in excitement. The rest of us smiled at their enthusiasm.

"Well... Let's do it!"

Holy crap....we done it. We finished it in one single day.....wtf.... Holy Asahi.....

"I can't believe it..."

I muttered, looking at the sheet of paper where the lyrics is written. Only one more day to practice. i need to practice this some alone time and might as well surprise them when i add some effects i guess??? 

"What's that?" i flinched and quickly hid the paper. i looked up and saw Kei looking at me with a confused look." Why are you hiding it? Let me see it pipsqueak." i shook my head and stick my tongue out at him.

"it's a surprise!!" i said. he clicked his tongue and sighed.

"Whatever. Not like i care about that anyway.." Lies...

"Heh~?? It seems to me that you are looking forward to it~" I slurred and teasingly looked up at him. He flinched slightly and pushed up his glasses." See! you're blushing!" I continued to tease. he just grunted and walked away causing me to laugh." Hey don't leave like that!" i said, regaining my breath.

"Shut up, i'm gonna go practice some blocks. don't overwork yourself." with that, he left. i smiled at his words and looked at the sheet. 

"i won't bring them down and put our practices to waist." i said to myself and started to practice the song till night, getting 10 minutes break every hour.  this song is surprisingly good, even it was just made for a day.

Dinner time and here i am, trying not to sleep. i kept on hazily swinging my head back and forth, ever so slightly. i suddenly heard a snap making me flinch and open my eyes quickly, looking up behind me and saw Kuroo-senpai chuckling." What happened to you?" He then sat in front me. the other girls left earlier, giving me time to practice on my own. i yawned, looking at the side to not disrespect the 3rd year in front of me." overworked yourself?" i just nodded at his question.

"where's Kei?" i asked, stretching causing a loud 'pop' from my back. i sighed in relief." oh, you're boyfriend? he's teasing shrimp and king." he said and pointed behind me. i took a peak and saw Kei grinning down at the two who were blushing hard. 

"pfft. Kei back in his real self huh? anyway, what do you want?" i looked back at Kuroo-senpai, eating the last section of my rice before start to eat my taiyaki. he looked at me with wide eyes as if i caught him in an act.

"Wh-what do you mean? do i need a reason?" he said, a smug look on his face. i rolled my eyes.

"no, but you don't usually sit with me without bokuto-senpai or the others. to be precise, its the first time that you sat with me alone." i completely wiped off the smug out of his face. he blushed in embarrassment and sighed, scratching the back of his head.

"Alright, you got me there kid." right, he already stopped calling me a cutie. let's say, Kei forced him? 

"so.....what is it?" he went silent.

"erm....

it's about your friend...(L/n) girl?"
