It was a quiet and empty Sunday afternoon- specifically 4pm, Jaewon's most favorite time of the day when he gets to either stay at home and sleep, hang out with the members at a park, or just stay in Coffee Days at its most empty hour and read a nice book while having coffee.
And as you know, that's exactly what he was doing now.
He felt so relaxed, soothing music playing in his earphones, phone open in case Minsoo suddenly wanted him to go back to the dorm, and reading a book about...Paradise.
Time flies by really fast when you're at peace, It only feels like he read 5 pages and it's already been an hour.
"Hey. Isn't that grey haired kid going to yell at you if you don't go back now?" A tall shadow loomed over him, making the page darker to see. "Ah-! Minsoo said that he and Daehyun were going to visit Sa1nt and won't be back till dinner." Jun grabs a chair and sits in front of the red haired, arms crossed together as per usual. "How about the other one? The one who you said was my 'secret brother' or something." "Dongho is taking Boba for a walk, he won't be back till dinner too." Jaewon murmured in embarrassment, he could have went with Dongho yes but he didn't want to disturb the bonding moment with man and cat.
"I see." Jun stares directly into Jaewon's soul, making him shiver a bit. "Anyway, you shouldn't drink so much coffee. It's unhealthy plus this is your fifth one." He places his gaze on the coffee cup, which was empty. "That's nice of you to say-" "And it makes my job harder."
There was an awkward silence and a bit of tension.
"Ah- If I'm making your work harder I can look for Dongho at the park it's just nearby i think-" Jaewon's face turned crimson red with embarrassment, making himself cover it up with his sweater paws and looking away "No, stay here, it's okay. I get paid more anyway." He shoots Nari, who was at the counter cleaning up, a quick glare that said 'pay me more' Jun notices how cute Jaewon looked like when he was flustered, he chuckled and leaned over to remove the smaller's hands from covering his cute face.
"Don't cover your face so much. It's a waste that you're covering up something so cute." Jun said in a straightforward tone, kinda scary but it made Jaewon laugh. "Okay then!" Jaewon giggled and put down his sweater paws, he was smiling like an angel.
The two stayed talking with each other for a few more minutes but Minsoo called up saying that Sa1nt was coming over to the dorms- probably to celebrate something- so he had to leave early. It seemed a bit sad for sure but Jaewon will see Jun again tomorrow, well not at the perfect time, but seeing Jun is all that mattered to him right now.
"Alright. Make sure you stop drinking so much coffee." Jun closed the door behind them and a woosh of the cold air of Seoul blew past them. "You didn't bring a jacket did you?" Jaewon murmured, removing his sweater only to reveal another one. "Wear this! It's October so it'll be colder now, and here-" Jaewon reached out for his pocket and pulled out a couple of won "This should be enough for you to buy a jacket!" He smiled and handed the items to Jun.
Jun tilts his head a bit in confusion, "Why do you care so much about useless things?"
Jaewon stepped closer to Jun and gave him a hug
"Because even if it's useless, it still matters for its existence right? It doesn't matter if you bought coffee beans even if you don't drink coffee, maybe in the future you'll slowly get used to the coffee and put the coffee beans to use."
