Chapter Two: The Reunion

Alex stood up and turned to the door. "Yo, kiddos, you coming?" James answered "We are coming Alex, we are just going to get something from the bar." Alex turned back around and walked out of the front of the pub he just destroyed. "If you keep me waiting I will have to leave you two" he smiled of he walked off. "Okay Thalia where is it?" She replied in a half excited voice, "it should be somewhere around the bar." James and Thalia started to look around when James found a handprint on the bar. "I found it Thalia" James called. Thalia ran over and saw the handprint "James your brilliant" Thalia kissed him then turned back to the print, she put her hand on the mark and pushed down on the handprint. The wood then formed around her arm and condensed into an arm guard. "That's amazing Thalia, it is an Armor Septum." Thalia took the armor off and answered "I know right, it feels like silk on my arm too." James and Thalia walked out of the bar and meet up with Alex who was next to three bags of food and three horses. "My gods you two, I thought you two where died." Thalia cocked her head and smiled; "now why would we do such a thing as to die, that would be stupid." Alex smiled back and laughed. "We'd better get going, there is a long way till we find the next piece of armor you're looking for Thalia." James looked in oohhh at his mentor; he began to follow him as they started to walk away from the town they were Justin in. Three or so days later Alex and his friends where in a town formally called Trinity Falles, until one day when the death of a young boy around the age of 10. For many years after that day the town got the nickname Trinity "Falls" seeing that the boys nick name was Trinity. The town is now called Srithicot. This unusual name is derived from the owner's last name. Anyways back to the point here, Alex was in market with Thalia as James searched for something for Thalia (of course she had no idea of this) "so Thalia, has James you know, um, proposed to you yet?" Thalia blushed furiously and replied "no, not yet." Alex looked up and said in a voice he had never used before, compassion, "you two are so meant to be though, he'd better hurry up and get it over with." Thalia looked stunned and blushed at the thought of being married to James. "Hey guys what's up?" James says as he comes into view. "Oh nothing really, just talking about marriage" Thalia replies with a smile on her face. "Oh? Is that so?" James raised an eyebrow at Alex. Alex just waved them off and walked away. Later that day Alex was walking through the market place outside of the town they were staying in. As Alex walked through the market he bumped into a woman and knocked her over a lot with all her groceries. "I'm so sorry ma'am, I did not mean to." Alex helped her to her feet and picked up with her groceries. The lady blushed and replied "no you are fine dear sir. It's my fault for being so clumsy." This woman looks around the age of 20 years old, and lived alone. "So, would you like me to help you with those bags ma'am?" Alex asked? Without waiting for an answer Alex took the bags and waited for the lady to lead the way. About fifteen minutes later they reached the ladies house. The lady unlocked the door to her house and let her and myself into the house. "So um, thank you sir. You are super sweet for doing this, would you like to stay for dinner? It's okay if you don't, I'd understand. You must be busy and you probably have to go" as she stammered on I started to smile and I replied in as welcoming voice has I could muster "I'd be honored to stay for dinner ma'am, besides my partners will be at an inn right now so I have all the time in the world, or until night comes." She gave me a warm and inviting smile that lit the whole room up "that's great, oh; you don't need to call me ma'am anymore. My name is Adrianna, but you can call me Adri if you'd like. What is your name?" I gave her a sheepish smile and replied "well Adri, my name is Alex. I am a bounty hunter." She looked up from the pot she got out for the meal she was starting to make. Her face got flushed "wait where were you born Alex?" she had a face of concern and worry. So I answered her truthfully "I was born in this very town, back when it was called Trinity Falles." Her face lit up and tears started to fall down her face "oh my gods above, Trinity, is that you?" my eye got wide as soon as I saw her lift up her hair into a pigtail I remembered her. "Oh my gods above, Adri it's you" I pulled her into a hug and just stood there. Going back to when Alex was a kid, "come on Adri we're going to be late for your birthday party if you don't hurry." Alex said with eager anticipation. "Trinity I can't go any faster, it's not going to help me go faster is you yell at me." Alex stopped and looked at Adri "I'm sorry for yelling, her let me give you a piggyback ride. I can get you home for that party yet." Adri blushed but did as Alex asked. Alex took off as soon as Adri was safely on his back; it took him about 30 minutes to get to her house. Now remember that they were about 2 miles away so he went pretty fast. "Okay we're here Adri. Adri?" Alex looked back and saw that she had fallen asleep on his back. Alex gently set her down and gently shook her till she woke up. "Morning sunshine" Adri looked at Alex and smiled "are we home?" Alex nodded his head and helped her up. They went inside to be surprised by Adri's family and their friends, "SURPRISE BIRTHDAY GIRL!" everyone yelled as Alex guided Adri into the house. Alex and Adri spent the whole party talking about something. "Happy birthday Adri" Alex kissed Adri's forehead. "You doing some flirting over there Alex?" some random boy yelled over they music. "Not really, why would I need to flirt? It's not like I would need to try around Adri, she accepts me for me and that's all that matters" Alex replied. The boy looked unsatisfied that he didn't get on Alex's nerves. So now that you know a little about Adri, back to the present. "Adri house are you live?" Alex pulled away and looked down at Adri. She looked up and without saying a word kissed Alex. Alex kissed her back and they stayed like that for a wail. Finally pulling away for air Adri answered him. "I don't know, I just remember that the shed collapsed on us and crushed us. After I blacked out it felt like five minutes to me but when I opened my eyes I saw we were still under the rubble of the old shed, but this time everything had a layer of dust on it and it looked older than before. I tried pulling you out but you were stuck in place with all your gear on." Alex looked into her eyes and saw she was telling the truth. "I'm so sorry I couldn't save you from that, but maybe I could make it up to you somehow?" Adri looked up at him and rested her head on his chest and took a deep breath. "You already have by coming back to me." At that very moment Alex's communication disk vibrated. Alex looked at it and saw that James messaged him. The message read hey man, me and Thalia have been looking all over for you. Where in the hell are you? Alex looked at Adri, "do you mind if my partners come here?" Adri shook her head. Alex messaged James his location. It took James under four minutes. "Yo don't do that to us man, you freaked us the hell out." Alex laughed slightly. Thalia looked at Alex's shadow and saw it was longer than normal. "um Alex who's that behind you?" Alex turned around and saw that Adri got shy because James just burst in and started yelling. "Nice going James you scared her. It's okay Adri, they won't hurt you." Adri slightly came out from behind Alex and waved at James and Thalia. "So guys this beautiful young lady is Adrianna Luvilolia. My fiancé from before the shed accident." Adri softly elbowed Alex in the ribs. "I'm pretty sure we are still getting married, it's not like you can get rid of me that easily" Alex and Adri laughed together. "Oh my gods above, you two are so much like each other it's not even funny." Thalia sheepishly laughed. "I mean why would I marry someone who doesn't match my personality?"
