Into the Shadows

Chapter Four

School was finally over and I made my way to the benches I sat there for a while and watched Hunter play rugby, but I was more concentrated with the two most amazing scents in the whole world, cinnamon and cotton candy which unfortunately belonged to my mates. They both noticed that I was looking at them which gave them the idea I was interested, which I was clearly not. My wolf Lila was running around all over my head spouting crap about Kyle and Kian, saying how their wolves love the fact I was "gazing" at them.

At halftime Hunter took that time to come see me. While my twin mates stopped to use the water fountain which was within talking distance. My whole body shock with want and need for the two wolves, but they would betray me sooner or later. I will not make that mistake the way my mother did.

"Hey I did not think you would come" Hunter says with a flirty undertone.

"Well I did not want to regret something if I did not come in the first place" I responded with.

"I'm going to warm up again, I'll talk to your sexy face again when the game is over" Hunter said and when he said 'sexy face' I heard two pairs of growls coming from the right side of me, Kyle and Kian. They were giving Hunter the most dirtiest look, if looks could kill Hunter would be blown off the face of the earth by now. I need to make an exit before either one of my mates come and talk to me, I won't be able to handle it. 

"Hunt I need to go get my bike, track my scent when the game is over".

"Okay bye, see ya soon" And with his acceptance I walked away to my special place.

Leading myself to my secluded space where nobody will find me I place my headphones on and listen to my music while on occasion singing my favorite songs that I come across. I soon feel tears streaming down my face as one of the songs I came across reminded me of my mates and my fathers actions. My wolf, Lila soon starts talking to me again.

"Ellie, go to mates, they are worried about you" She says.

"Lila why do you torment me, they will betray me if I let them in"

"No they won't Logan and Skylark said"

"Who are Logan and Skylark"

"Logan is Kian's wolf and Skylark is Kyle's wolf"

"I'm scarred of them Lila think about what my birth father did" I said exasperated.

"They will love and cherish us Ellie, they are nothing like your birth father" 

"They are Alpha's of the strongest pack in the world, they will hurt me"

"No we won't" I hear from behind me and both of their scents invade my mind, the only thing I could think about was escaping so I got up and ran as fast as I could.

I was so confused I don't want to be hurt by them, I needed to escape if only I had a "future diary"  like in 'Mirai Nikki', then I would have a better route to take then running across a filed away from the two fastest and strongest Alpha's in the whole fucking world.

Still running I can only think about my mates, Kian and Kyle. Kian has the most beautiful blue eyes that could easily melt any female wolf's heart, his gorgeous light brown hair that looks amazing in the sun. Kyle on the other had had electrifying green eyes with the same light brown hair as Kian. Both of their muscles and their bodies were the definition of perfection. It's like they were sculpted by the gods themselves. But I will not let that temp me into submission.

Just as I'm about to enter the car park and ride my bike home to cry in my bedroom I feel tingles radiate all over my skin as I'm wearing a short sleeve shirt along with a pair of arms wrap around my slim waist. I turn my head up to see who was holding me, but deep down I knew it was one of my mates. When our eyes connected I see two bright green orbs gazing into mine, the look of love, happiness and acceptance Is scarring me, I tried to get out of his grip but I cant its like I'm trapped in a vice.

A few moments later I smelled the scent of cotton candy and saw the face of Kian, he held the same emotions as Kyle but he also had a hint of fear in his eyes.

"Why did you run away?" I could not bear to look him in the eye, I'm a rouge he won't want me, so I looked down at the ground. But that did not last long as I felt a hand on my cheek and felt him slowly push my face up to look at Kian. 

"Look at me Ellie, neither one of us care that you are a rouge, we will accept you" Kian slowly said.

"So why did you run away?" Kyle says behind me.

"........"

I could not reply, this was too much this would be the time in those cheesy films and books where the female protagonist falls head over heals with her love interest and devotes her life. But just in time Hunter finds me.

"Hey lolly are you ready---oh hello Alpha Kyle and Alpha Kian, how are you"

"Very good Hunter, I'm just holding my mate, who is also Kian's mate, who is your future Luna"

You can see in their body posture that they are tense, also Kyle's arms tighten around my waist with a territorial growl coming out of his chest, warning Hunter that "I am his", when I'm not. 

"Yes, sorry Alpha I'll leave you both to it, Ellie don't worry they won't harm you if anything they will help you get rid of your nightmares. 

This eases both of them slightly but they are still tense as he is still around and in eye sight, as me being near a male while I'm not marked, once that happens they will be even less tense until they will be fully safe knowing in theirs once I fully give myself over to them and fully mate them both.

But that will only happen when I'm dead, like the saying goes "Over my dead body".
