elena, caroline and kai all approach the dancefloor as nora returns from harassing the dj.

"so in the end, he will get rihanna on. or at least when i finish this sen-

nora is interrupted by a new song starting on the speakers.

kai's face lightens up at nora's music choice.

"none of the past matters. you are the best sister." he says to her.

"wow, at least i made you say it somehow." she responds pretending to be hurt.

the four begin to dance the night away like there's no tomorrow. but elena has different ideas when she hears the pre-chorus starts.

"come on, follow me!" she shouts to the group.

she directs them to a large table with barely any cups sitting on it. she throws them all on the floor, as she starts to climb onto the table.

she encourages the others to follow her lead. they do so, and nora takes off her heels to climb up.

"you seem more energetic... you've not flipped it again, have you?" caroline says to elena discreetly.

"flipped what?" nora asks. caroline makes a puzzled face.

"my switch. sometimes i never come out of my shell much, but it's a good night!" elena responds with an awkward smile.

"let's just dance, it's better if everyone sees us." she adds on.

the four are all up on the table just dancing, as some people look and some people don't even acknowledge it. but people are clapping for it in the end.

they all shout the lyrics, with the possibility of losing their vocal chords later on. but they don't have a care in the world at that moment.

"PLEASE DON'T STOP THE MUSIC." the party shouts at the end of the outro to the song, as another one begins playing.

more people clap for the group on the table as they begin to climb back off.

"god, i need a drink." nora says, as she adjusts her heels.

"what did i say about dancing on the tables?" a voice says.

kai turns around to see a guy with dark brown hair, wearing a navy blue shirt and black jeans approach the group.

"relax babe, it's just a party." caroline says going up to the guy and giving him a kiss.

"you guys, this is stefan salvatore. stefan, this is kai and nora magalone." elena says introducing them all to each other.

"pleasure, i'm assuming you two are new since caroline forbes has discovered you first?" stefan says to the siblings, and they laugh.

"honestly, you'd be right." kai responds smiling.

"plus we just moved to mystic falls recently and kai hasn't left the house till tonight." nora says, making kai embarrassed.

"well, this would be the best time i could get a drink. but first, where's the bathroom?" kai asks the group, minus nora.

"uhh, upstairs and should be on your right." elena responds.
