"Teka! Wait lang!" hinihingal na sabi ko kay Bailey.

I wiped the sweat of my forehead as I breathed heavily. It's currently early dawn so Bailey and I decided to jog around the village near his house. I wasn't really the sporty type and I was more of the type who gets tired easily but when Bailey said that he usually jogs around this time of the day, I told him that I wanted to join too. I don't know, maybe I wanted to try these kinds of things with him. You know those things you see in movies, couples working out together. I thought it was cute but now honestly, all I feel is regret.

I held both of my knees as I slouched, catching my breath. I saw Bailey stopped in front, inches away from as he turned his head back at me. We weren't even past the 3 km mark yet and I already felt like dying. Bakit ko nga ba naisip na magandang ideya 'to?

Bailey jogged towards me. "Are you okay?" he said as he held my shoulder.

I nodded at him, closing my eyes. "Yeah, kaya pa." I smiled at him even though I felt so dizzy.

He creased his forehead looking at me. "Are you sure?" I met his gaze and nodded. I saw the small beads of sweat on his forehead as they slowly began to trickle down his face but nonetheless, he still smelled so good.

I bit my lip as we continued jogging. I stopped abruptly, closing my eyes as I started to see spots in my vision. I felt so dizzy as if I was almost gonna faint anytime soon. I blinked repeatedly hoping the spots would go away when I felt Bailey holding my arm.

"Your lips look so pale," he said worriedly, supporting my weight.

"I'm okay," I assured him even though I wasn't feeling fine.

"Come on, you should sit."

Tumigil naman kami sa pagtatakbo habang inaalalayan niya ako papunta sa isang bench at dahan-dahan akong pinaupo.

"Lower your head between your knees and—" Bailey stopped talking when I already did it before he could finish his sentence.

Napatawa naman ako ng mahina kahit na kasalukuyang masama ang pakiramdam ko. "I know. I'm a med student too," nanghihinang sabi ko habang kasalukyang nakababa ang ulo ko sa pagitan ng mga tuhod ko.

I already knew what to do. If you're feeling faint, lying down with your legs raised or lowering your head between your knees encourages blood flow to the brain. It also helps to stay in a cool, well-ventilated place, eat something sweet like candy or drink some water.

He looked like he was the one panicking more than me.

After almost ten minutes, I slowly started to feel better and my vision was back to normal. I turned to Bailey who was currently giving me a worried look and assured him that I was already feeling fine.

He let out a heavy sigh. "Diba sabi ko sa'yo to eat something before we start jogging. You're so hardheaded." He scolds me while shaking his head.

"Sorry na po, Doc." I joked trying to appease his mood.

Napasapo siya sa noo. "Don't try to scare me like that again."
