When they arrived back home, Simon insisted on carrying the suitcase in and Cheryl carried in the dogs. Then, they both unpacked the clothes and other items that Cheryl had packed and placed them in one of the many spare rooms.
It was a beautiful room that Cheryl was given. Very spacious and clean. There was a large, plasma television on the wall directly in front of the bed. The bed itself was a quite a big single bed with clean white sheets. There was a large window on the wall left side of the bed and it showed a beautiful view. The room also contained an en suite bathroom and Cheryl decided, after unpacking, to finally have a shower and get out of her clothes. She chose a nice comfortable outfit, took all the equipment she needed, and went into the en suite bathroom. She locked the door behind, just for her own reassurance.
The bathroom was beautiful. The tiles on the floor and walls were white and were impeccably polished. She could see her reflection clearly everywhere she turned her face. On either of the corners at the back of the bathroom were a shower, and a bath tub. She opted for the bath tub instead so filled it up with lukewarm water. Once it was filled, she placed in a beautifully scented oil which caused the bath water to become misty. She stripped out of her clothes and placed them in the laundry basket, before stepping into the water.
She lay in there for what seemed like hours and relaxed in the warm water. When she was sure that she'd soaked up the natural goodness that the oil contained, she thoroughly washed her hair. When her hair was fully fresh and clean, she placed on her body wash and scrubbed her body clean. She looked at her stomach momentarily and thought about the little life that was growing inside of it. She placed a hand on her toned stomach and wondered how long it would take until her baby bump started showing.
She rinsed herself clean and then jumped out of the shower. Using her towel, she wiped her body dry before wrapping her hair up in a towel. She then proceeded to place lotion on all over her body before placing her clothes on.
She had opted to wear a beige coloured, long sleeved jumper and some black skinny jeans. When she was fully clothed, she went back into her new room and began to blow dry her hair. After a few minutes of blow drying, her hair her hair was finally dry and after giving it a good comb through, she placed it into a messy, yet cute, bun on top of her head.
She went downstairs and found Simon sitting comfortably on the couch, his favourite cartoon show, The Flinstones, on the television, with Cheryl's dogs, Buster and Coco, sitting on his lap. Simon had a huge smile across his face and she couldn't help the smile that spread across her own face. He looked so cute, like a little boy trapped in the body of a thirty seven year old.
She walked over to him and when he noticed her coming, he gave her a wide grin. Cheryl returned it and sat down next to Simon on the couch.
"Big baby," Cheryl teased. Simon just smirked at her. He placed his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes for a few seconds, inhaling her scent.
"It makes me happy." Simon said. Cheryl placed her arm around his shoulder and rested her head on top of his. They stayed like that till the end of the episode of The Flinstones, with their dogs sleeping peacefully in their laps, laughing like excited children in most of the scenes. If anyone who has no idea who either of them were had saw them whilst they were watching the cartoon, they would have easily mistaken them for a happily married couple.
When the episode finished and the boring advertisement breaks showed up on the screen, Simon switched the television off.
"I should make dinner now. It's six o'clock and I'm starving." Simon said, rubbing his belly indicating his hunger.
"Mr Cowell you have read my mind." Cheryl said. They both got up off the couch, the two dogs copying them, and headed off to the kitchen. Simon searched through the refrigerator and frowned. Cheryl saw his expression and walked up to him.
"What's wrong?" She asked him.
"There's nothing in there." Simon said. Cheryl looked in the refrigerator and laughed.
"What?" Simon asked, looking genuinely confused.
"Let me guess, you don't buy your own groceries?" Cheryl joked.
"Well... No, but that's not the point. There's nothing in there that you eat for dinner."
"Not yet," Cheryl said as she expertly grabbed some vegetables from the refrigerator. She searched the draws and picked out some packets of pasta and jars of pasta sauce. She picked out sauce pans, knives and chopping boards. Then, she began chopping up the vegetables one after the other. Simon watched in awe, as if in trance of her every move.
"Is pasta okay?" Cheryl asked, glancing over at Simon.
"Yeah fine," he replied, "need any help?"
"Would you pour some water in that thingy and then boil the pasta, please?"
"Sure."
Simon grabbed the pot and filled it up half way with water. Once he's filled it up, he asked Cheryl if that was enough and Cheryl nodded. Then, he turned the cooker on, and placed the pot on top. He ripped open the packet of pasta and poured some in.
"How much should I put in?" Simon asked.
"Not too much. About half the packet." Cheryl said.
"Okay."
They both cooked the pasta together, Simon asking Cheryl for the instructions of course. However, whilst making the pasta source, a sharp pain shot through Cheryl's stomach. She bit down on her bottom lip to suppress her screams. After a minute, the pain went and she was back to normal. Although she found it strange, she decided that it was best to dismiss whatever has happened.
"I don't think we did a bad job, do you?" Simon said.
"Not a bad job at all." Cheryl agreed.
Simon and Cheryl both gave each other a high five and laughed happily.
