Paying Life Debts (BL)

Arc 1: 1. 2

(A/N: hello readers, from this chapter onward, i decided to write in the present tense because i always mix it past with present tense in the paragraph. That's why i write it in all present tense and if it was something from the past i will write it in the past tense, so that won't confused everybody.)

[6:00 AM]

As the morning come up, Autumn wakes up in a daze as he wondering where he is. Then he remember that he has died and now he's living in another body not his own anymore. He get up from the bed and go the bathroom to wash up and get ready for work. He begins his day by putting on a formal suit that he bought yesterday. Due to this is the 1st day of his work, he quickly finish dressing up. He look at the clock and see it is 6:30 a.m. right now, he go to the kitchens and doing a simple breakfast for himself. He begin to ask the system while he is eating the breakfast.

"Hey Blackie, how can I communicate with you in public? They will think I'm crazy." 

[Host can telepathy to me by saying inside your mind, and I will reply you through your mind too.]

"Ohh, that's good then." when he nearly finishes his breakfast, he suddenly think of something, "Blackie, is there a male lead and female lead in this world?"

[Well host, I don't know specifically about that. But from Lord God provide is that in each world we will travel to it isn't involve around the original not host. That means he doesn't know whether the female and male lead exist or not.]

"Ahhhh.... How could it be? Isn't this an individual world for female lead and male lead? Why is there no scripts?" He exclaimed loudly as his ask this question.

[Well, it is true this is an individual world but the original host neither have any grievance with anybody that can affect the world plot nor he want to change his fate. So why we need to bother those with protagonist halo that can lead us to doom?] 

"... " he goes silent for awhile then he continue, "You have a point there. I understand that. However, what if I meet them accidentally, then will we have the information regrading the world plot and the leading character like in most novel that I read?"

[Wait a minute host, I will go to ask the Lord God.]

As he's waiting for system to come back, he takes a look at the time at see it is nearly 7 o'clock. He hurry grab his back and the house to leave for work. He walks to the nearest train station to take the train to his workplace. 

He finally arrives at the front door of his work building. He says good morning to the security guard at the front door and walks up to the receptionist. He smile brightly as he asking the female receptionist where he can find the secretary department. The female receptionist shyly answer him that it was at 30th floor. He thanks her and walks to the elevator. While he's waiting, system come back and report the news.

[Host, regrading the question that you ask Blackie. I got you an answer. Lord God said that we can say that when the time come if host really accidentally meet them, Blackie will alert you and you will experience about the world plot but the consequence of getting the plot is that you will involve in it as well by being a cannon fodder in the plot.]

[Hey that is unfair. Why am I a cannon fodder?] he seriously questioned Blackie about it. 

[Because you are an outsider, unless host is sent to male lead body or any character that has influence on plot like pushing the plot or maybe relate to male lead and female lead themselves. Otherwise, you will be labeled as cannon fodder by the world's system.]

[Alright i get it. Shouldn't I get any bonus package for my 1st timer?]

[Technically, host, you ain't the main worker of our system that need to complete missions to get the point in order to improve yourself for mission that has ranks. You are just a sub worker here due to your debts that you owed those people or we can say you're here to repay your sins that you have caused.]

[Then.... Does this mean that I have freedom to do whatever I want with my life and I'm not restricted by you or Lord God like I can act out of character, right?]

[Well yes. You can act on your freewill and not restrict by system.]

[Oh! that's good. Thanks goodness!] For some reasons, he feels relieve when he knows that he has his own freedom and that make him smiling brightly.

When he got himself back from talking with Blackie, soon he found himself near his stop. He walks out of the elevator and go to secretary dept. to report his arrival. He arrives at 7:50 a.m. right before 8:00 a.m. that the work hours start. He was told to go to the highest floor of the building because that's where the CEO's office is located and he need to work close by CEO himself. He turns back to the elevator that he just got off and found this elevator only have up 54th floor. He keeps staring the the button for awhile and decided to press the 54th floor and then he will continue on staircase to 56th floor. 

Finally, he arrived at the highest floor of the building. He reports to secretary of the new CEO whose name he doesn't know. Secretary saw him and stand up from his desk and shake hand with Autumn. He begins to introduced himself.

"Hello, Mr Ivan Coleman. I'm Lance Bronson, secretary of Mr. Andres Estra De Godric who is a new CEO of Godric Group." Lance smiles slightly as he's shaking with Autumn.

'Wow, a noble name in the ancient era.' Autumn thought.

"Hello, Mr. Bronson. Thanks you for giving me a chance to be his assistant. I will try my best to assist him in any way possible." 

Lance nods his head as to say he understands Autumn. Then he begin to assign the work to Autumn. Autumn's work consists of preparing schedule for CEO, sorting and replying email, preparing refreshment for CEO, arranging meeting, interacting with clients and visitors to his office and some little trivial thing.

"Mr. Godric will be arrive at his office at 9 o'clock. Here is some information regarding to his taste. Right, you will be responsible for his lunch too. He's allergic to seafood so be careful with that. And more thing is you can include me and you in his lunch order. This is a special treatment to be his assistant and secretary. " As he finished, he return to his desk to continue his work without looking back.

'What a good boss!' Autumn feel happy inside that he can meet a good boss like that in his life. He begins to familiar with his work in order to not make a good boss angry with and deduct his salary or worse dismiss him. When he's been working for 50 mins, he feels a little uncomfortable, so he decide to go to restroom. 

As he walking toward the bathroom, he looks around the floor and see everything is so well-designed and he can feel the luxurious in them. 'Rich people' he thinks depressingly. He could only dream about this, he doesn't think in this life he can buy those brand name or spend money like rich people even though his current salary is quite generous. 

Due to he walking head down, he doesn't notice the person walking toward him. At that moment, he crush into that person chest and fall backward. Noticing the smaller one falling, the bigger one quickly grab his hand toward himself. Autumn fall into the taller one's embrace and then everything stops. 

Suddenly an alarm sounds alert him loudly in his head.
