Emma's POV
I walk into the living room with the girls and go up to Bertram and the girls stand next to me. "Bertram, is my new issue of Leopard Beat here?" I said hoping it did. "One moment." He said as hands me it and puts on a pair of headphones. I scream once I saw that it came and Jessie comes running in. "What's wrong? Who's hurt? First aid kit or ambulance? Are the twins ok?" She said as she looked at me and the girls. "My Leopard Beat magazine came! This month has a special feature on bra stuffing! "Which is better? Tissues or socks?" Spoiler alert. It's neither. Quilted toilet paper. You're welcome. And the girls are fine they are use mommy's screams so they don't cry or plug their ears." I said as the girls sat down next to me. Destiny and Lydia nod their little heads. We went down the the lobby with the girls.
"Nice and obvious. Tony's in love. It's all here Leopard Beat." I said as I looked down at magazine. "Surefire Signs a Guy is Crushing On You. "First, he'll surprise you with presents." She said as she looked at me. "Tony gave you the fuggeda-basket." I said all smiley and holding Destiny's hand while Jessie held Lydia's hand. "Second, he'll laugh at your jokes." Jessie said as Destiny nodded her head.
"Tony laughed when you said, "Victim of a-salt." I said as I was still smiley. "Yeah, because it was funny." She said as I looked at her. "No. It wasn't. Leopard Beat is never wrong. It's my roadmap to womanhood." I said as I knew I never laughed like that with Xander. "Your roadmap has a hologram poster of Taylor Lautner." She said as she looked at me and Destiny giggled. "I know! When you turn it this way, his shirt comes off. Off, on. Off, on. Off, on. Wanna see?" I said flip it the poster. "Pass. Look, even if Tony does like me, I'm not going to date him. I learned back in Texas never to date someone you work with." She said she pushed the magazine away with her free hand.
"Aw! Did you get your heart broken by a rodeo clown?" I said looking at her. "Actually, yes. I was referring to last summer, when I was working at Senor Cluck's Chickateria. Everything was just fine until I broke up with the assistant manager, Buck Cluck. That's when he assigned me to the plucking pit." She said as Destiny and Lydia went wide eyed. "You had to pluck chicken eyebrows?" I said looking wide eyed too. "No. I spent the rest of the summer knee-deep in beaks, claws, and chicken guts. Which, by the way, was our 99 cent combo." She said as Tony walked into the lobby. "O-M-G! Tony's in the lobby!" I said as I got excited. "F-Y-I. That's his job!" She said as Lydia looks up at her than over at Destiny. "Wait! Wait! There's a chart in here to show how much a boy likes you." I said as I turned to the page. "Another way to tell is if he gives you his toy from his extra value meal." She said looking at the magazine. "It says in here if he touches you from shoulder to elbow, you're in the friend zone. Elbow to wrist, the transitional zone. And wrist to fingertips means he's about to hold your hand, which is the romance zone!" I said as I remembered when Xander held my hand for the first time. "As long as he doesn't touch my end zone." She said and the girls laughed. "Yo, Jessie! Check out the addition to my uniform. I got epaulets!" Tony said as he looked at her and showed off his uniform. "He's upgrading his wardrobe. Leopard Beat's surefire sign number four that he's crushing on you." I said looking at the magazine and back up at Jessie. "I wouldn't call that an upgrade. He looks like he's guarding the Wizard of Oz." I said as he walked over to us. "So, what do you got there?" He said as we were holding bags in our hands. "We're organizing Emma's closet. Again." She said as the girls looked. "We got shoe boxes, sweater boxes, hat boxes, jewelry boxes, and a box for my socks. Ooh! That rhymes!" I said as I chuckled and looked at my daughters. "Yeah. And the party continues, 'cause tomorrow is hanger day." She said as the girls looked at her. "Jessie, let me help you." He said as he tried to help her. "Thank you." She said as I was all smiley again. "Did you see that? He went right for your hands! He skipped two zones! He's a zone skipper! Oh, my gosh!" I said as I was still smiley. "Emma, relax. It's not like he's asking me out or anything." She said as she tried to calm me down. "Hey, Jessie, wanna have lunch in the park tomorrow?" He asked as I looked all giddy. "Well..." she said as she didn't know what to say. "She'd love to! Right, Jessie?" I said as I talked for her. "I would love to, but I can't miss hanger day." She said as she looked at me. "You're excused." I said as Destiny tugged at my shirt. "Awesome. See you tomorrow." He said as I looked down at Destiny. "Mmm-hmm." She said as I looked up. "I'm thinking of a lobby-themed wedding." I said as I looked up and back down at Destiny.
"What are you thinking?" She asked looking at me. "You don't want to know what I'm thinking." I said as Lydia and Destiny shook their heads because they knew how mommy was. We went back up to the penthouse and I was sitting on the couch with the girls and Zuri.
"Jessie! You're gonna be late for your date with Tony!" I said as I yelled up from downstairs. "So, how do I look?" She said as she came out in sweats.  "Like Cinderella... before the bibbity bobbity-boo." Zuri said as she sounded sarcastic. "Perfect! These clothes will make Tony think of me as just one of the guys, and then he'll never ask me for another date." She said as I knew it couldn't be that bad. "Look, Jessie, no matter how badly you dress, or how dorky your hair looks..." I said as I looked at her hair. "My hair always looks like this. Oops." She said as she looked at me. "Tony's still going to try to kiss you. And then you'll start dating..." I said well that's sorta how it happened with me and Xander but he told me he didn't care how my hair looked. "And knowing my history, we'll have a hideous breakup, and I'll have to walk up 30 flights of stairs so I don't have to pass Tony in the lobby!" She said as she looked at me. Xander and I never broke up he moved to Maine. "Emma whose the girls father and did you date him?" Jessie asked me and I looked down. "Their dad's name is Xander McCormick and yes we did date."I said still looking down. "Did you guys have a nasty break up?" She asked as I was still looking down. "No he moved to Maine a year ago when I found about the girls." I said looking down than at the girls. "Oh I'm so sorry Emma." She said as she felt bad for me. "It's ok Jessie. I knew Xander would have wanted to watch them grow up but he couldn't." I said as I looked at them. Jessie come back from her date and I just came down from putting the girls to down for their nap. "So, how'd your date with Tony go? I think I smell romance." I said as I came down. "That's sauerkraut. There is no romance with Tony. And there never will be." She said looking for the girls. "I can't believe Leopard Beat was wrong. I'm never reading again." I said as looked at it and threw it down than went to the couch. "That's what you've learned?" She said as she picks up the Leopard Beat magazine. "Oh, hello, Taylor! Off, on. Off, on. Off, on. Off..."She said as she turned the poster. I wasn't happy anymore. "Emma where are the girls?" She asked still looking for them and she put the magazine down. "The girls are upstairs taking their nap." I said as I sat there thinking about Xander.
Later on in the screening room
We were watching a scary movie and the girls were with us. "This is really scary." I said as I scream and cover the girls eyes. "I told you." My brother says. "Guys, it's just a movie." Jessie says as a woman screams and metal clanks. "Hold my hand!" Jessie said to Zuri and holding out her hand. "Girl, don't you go in that graveyard." Zuri said as the woman screams again and the metal is know slicing. We all groan. "I tried to warn her." Zuri said as we heard growling. I took the girls out of the room and left the screening room. I didn't want my girls getting nightmares they are only one. I didn't know the movie was that scary at all because if I did I wouldn't have let them watch it heck I wouldn't have watched it.
