Taeko walked into her room, packing her stuff for school. Her mom walks in, holding a bento box. "Taeko, your lunch," she said, handing it to her. "Thank you mom." "The fire the other day, looks like it was in your classmate's house." 'I heard both her parents burned to death. That's so pathetic.' Taeko freezes, stopping what she's doing.
"If you don't have a class today, visit her and give the condolences for me," her mom said with pity. Taeko nods, zipping up her bag. Taeko's mom notices her daughter's sad face.
She bends down and asks," What's wrong?" Taeko pauses, then looks up at her mom and smiles. " Nothing mom, I'm leaving now. Bye," she said getting up.
