With a sigh, (y/n) stretched as she woke up. The sun peeked through her curtains as she rubbed her eyes and stood up. She made her way to her closet and grabbed her cloths for the day. After changing she headed downstairs to the kitchen and made herself breakfast. Glancing at the fridge, she saw her dad left a note about being on a business trip.
Same as always... She thought to herself as she ate. Ever since her mother's death, her dad has been constantly working as much as he could. Even going so far as to have him and her move closer to his job. She groaned. I don't want to go to school, especially not one where I don't have any friends.
She finished her breakfast and cleaned up. She grabbed her backpack and headed out the door. Slowly she made her way to her new school, humming random songs that popped into her head. As she walked towards the crosswalk, she ended up bumping into a guy.
"Sorry." She said as she stood waiting for the traffic light to change. He nodded in response. Bored, she decided to look at him from the corner of her eye. He had short, blue hair which was mostly covered by a hat. He seemed boring to her until she noticed his Danganronpa keychain of her favorite detective. Her eyes widen."Excuse me? But is that Kirigiri from Danganronpa?" She asked with excitement. His eyes lit up as a large smile found its way to his face.
"Y-you like Danganronpa?"
"Like? I don't just like it, I adore it! I've seen every episode multiple times! And I've read all the books too." She started bouncing up and down. "The first season is my absolute favorite!"He blushed. "Same! I can't believe I found another fan!"
She raised an eyebrow. "What? Is it not popular at your school? At my old one it was."
He shook his head and fiddled with his fingers. "Ah, no, it's not. Anyone who likes it usually get picked on...""That's horrible..." she whispered before asking, "Do they pick on you?"
He looked away from her. "Yes."
She huffed. "That's settles it! As of now, I'll be your bodyguard!"
He looked confused. "What?"
She smirked. "That's right! I'll do my very best to protect you... uh, what's your name?"
"Shuichi Saihara..."
She held out her hand. "Well, it's nice to meet you! I'm (y/n) (l/n). I hope we can become really good friends."
The light changed and they both began walking across the street.
"Um, this might be a stupid question, but are you new here? I don't think I've seen you around here." He looked at her and she nodded.
"Yup! Today's my first day of school here and since there's only one in this area, looks like we're school buddies!"
He chuckled at her enthusiasm, finding it to be rather cute. For the rest of the walk, they both chatted about Danganronpa and argued over whose the better main character. She shook her head. "Don't get me wrong, Makoto is amazing and an absolute cinnamon bun, but Hajime is way better."
Shuichi looked shocked. "No way, Makoto is by far better and much more important to the story. Though Hajime is great in his own ways as well."
She rolled her eyes. "What's next? You're gonna say you like Nagito over Togami?"
He stayed silent and she gasped. "You do?!"
"Ah! Don't get me wrong, Togami is amazing and all, but he gets to be a little too much sometimes. Nagito is a wonderful character who never annoys me and is much more... relatable."
She raised an eyebrow. "How so?"
He shook his head. "I'll tell you about it later, anyway we're here." He pointed to the school in front of them."Woah! When did that get there?" She asked as he sighed with a smile.
"You're really oblivious."
She nodded. "Yup!"
They walked inside and Shuichi pointed to the main office for her when she asked.
"Cool! Thanks for the chat! I'll meet up with you after school, okay?" She askedHe blushed. "Y-you still wan-t to talk to me? You don't think I'm w-weird?" He asked silently, almost as if he was afraid of her answer.
She tilted we head. "Of course not! You're my friend."
His blushed darkened. "F-f-friend?" He managed to get out.
"Yup! And your bodyguard too! So if anyone messes with you, just let me know okay? I'll see you later." She told him as she walked away. His hand clenched his jacket as he silently watched her, a large smile adorned his face."Ah, haha, so cute. So sweet." He took a deep breath. "More... I want more..." He slowly walked towards the bathroom, fancies running wild in his mind. He closed the stall door, dropped his bags, and sat down. Just as he was about to slide his hand downwards, a voice stopped him.
"Aw man, do you have to be jerking off to your shitty show this early in the morning?" The voice asked and Shuichi cursed at himself for being so oblivious and not noticing that Rantaro was in the bathroom.
"Shut up, there are other bathrooms you know." Shuichi said annoyed as he got up and opened the door. Rantaro stood across from him, leaning on the sinks with his arms crossed.
"Asshole."
"Creepy bitch."
"Worthless whore."
Rantaro tolled his eyes. "Why don't you go join your beloved killing game or something?"
Shuichi sighed. "Whatever, I'm leaving." He said as he began to walk out the bathroom. Before he could, Rantaro asked him a question."So, who's this (y/n) person you were moaning about?"
