Some part of me had awoken when Kylo had searched my mind. There was a room in my mind that had been locked before, but now there were bits and pieces seeping out.
As I slept, I had vivid dreams wherein I was a young girl asleep in a stone hut. I was awoken in the dream by a loud boom that shook my bedroom walls. I got out of bed and ran to the door but when I opened it, another explosion nearby threw me backwards onto the floor.
I saw myself lying unconscious on the ground as if I were having an out of body experience. The looked so much like me, my mind was awake now and I began to wonder if this could be real. The hut was falling apart, and I started to worry that the roof would cave in.
I saw a dark figure reach through a massive hole in the room, grab me by the arms and drag me out. I followed above the shadowy person and watched as they ran with me in their arms away from the burning sanctuary.
I remembered the terrible visions I saw earlier of burning bodies and buildings. The images I saw then and the dream I was in now looked eerily similar. I didn't want to believe it was real.
I awoke to the doors of my cell opening. I sat up immediately.
"Are you ready to talk?" Kylo's terrifying voice rang out loud and clear.
"About what." I played dumb. I shivered, likely out of fear but let's pretend it was just the temperature. I was wearing appropriate clothes for my tropical home planet, not a freezing First Order cell.
Kylo made a gesture with his hand and one of his knights entered the room.
Shit, I thought to myself. This was about to get ugly.
"Let's talk about Skywalker." Kylo said. "Tell me what I need to know, and you won't be harmed."
"I don't know anything." I said honestly. The faceless knight stepped forward and pulled out a small blade. He pushed me down to lay on the bench and towered over me. My eyes were wide with fear as I considered all the terrible things he could do to me.
He put a knee on either side of my hips and a hand on my shoulder. His other hand twirled the knife in front of my face.
"I swear I don't know anything!" I said, hurriedly.
"You trained with him. You were there the night he left. Where did he go?" Kylo interrogated as the knight's blade crept up my neck.
"I don't know, I don't know!" The knight began digging his blade into my cheek. I yelled in pain and tried to push it off but Kylo froze my body and I couldn't move.
The knife trailed down to my neck, and then to my chest.
"You're lying."
"I swear I'm not. Make him stop!" I shouted. I hated being powerless. He waved his hand and the knight stood up and stepped out of the room, dejected.
"Listen, I swear to you. I do not know anything about Luke Skywalker. But what you made me see yesterday..." I gulped before finishing. Was this the right thing to do? "It felt familiar."
"Those were your memories."
"They can't be. I've never even left Sesid!"
"Tell me what you saw." He commanded.
It felt wrong. I could sense that these 'memories' had a weight to them, and I feared that telling him would cause trouble. However, if I say nothing I run the risk of being tortured further. My selfish decision was already made.
"I saw a boy sparring with someone in a meadow." I spoke slowly, wishing with every word that I had made the right decision in telling him. "I saw destruction." I felt his force hold on my body release, so I sat up and immediately felt blood trickling down my face and onto my lap.
