Eliza walked me down the hall and up the stairs. This hallway was bigger though. One the right were big windows, and on the left were doors, each with three names on them. Hopefully they had a spare room for me.The mans office doors were very big and colorful. It had colorful glass panes in the shape of hot air balloons and birds. The wood had animals carved into it. It was very neet indeed.
Eliza opened the door for me. When I walked through, I expected her to follow, but she waved goodbye and left. The door closed shut and it was just me and the strange man. I kinda missed her already, she was weird but also kinda nice.
"Emile, come over here sit down." Said the man.
The room was very large. There were bookshelves everywhere and a big window to my left. I saw a big stuffed giraffe in the corner and a toy airplane hanging from the ceiling. The coolest thing here though was the telescope. My father used to have a telescope, he was a astronomer.
The man seemed to notice that I was looking at his telescope. He got up from his seat.
"Oh? I see your interested in my telescope." He slipped over to the device. "Would you like to use it?"
"Oh um, sure!" I said. I walked down to the telescope. It had stickers on it, some new some old. It was really big, bigger than me. I looked through the Lens.
"What do you see, Emile?"
"Stars."
"Here, I'll let me do something."
The man shifted the telescope a little bit. Now I saw a lot more than stars. There was a tiny blue dot in the sky. I think they call it Neptune.
The man moved the telescope a little more after that to show me more things like the moon, constellations, and probably one of the coolest things ever.
"Hey I see something!" I said, bouncing up and down on my feet. "What do you see?" Asked the Man. "I see something bright falling out of the sky." I answered
"Oh? That's a shooting star, make a wish and something spectacular might happen." The man said.
So I thought, what would I wish for?
"Okay then." I said. I stopped looking through the lens and looked up at the man "I wish I was happy and that I was like other kids and not on the street anymore."
The man smiled down at me. "That's a very nice wish, Emile. You know..." the man paused for a moment.
"I can make that wish come true."
